Heh, I'm not really sure. I'm not a good enough maker to be able to make different voicings to allow for either soft or sharp tonal color. There was one that I had made, and it had VERY awesome tone and tuning, but I'd sold it a while ago. I don't know how I did it. Apparently, the voicing doesn't always have to be sharp and perfect, for the voicing was rather blunt and ragged-looking for that oc in particular. A youtuber named Schweisse (sp?) would know better than I do about it :-D
you put me to shame haha ive been trying to make mine at least make the sound come out and shape it but no luck so far. soon i hope lol :p note to self: woring with air dry clay and working next to a fan is a no go. just wait for a cooler day hahaha. ive failed 4 times already. woop!!
I learned to make ocarinas extremely fast with air-dry clay, actually. The ceramic clay dries slowly, but I can get more detailed work going with it. Plus I can fire it at the local ceramics shop.
Hmmm.....sounds find to me. As long it plays some kind of major scale, I'm happy XD
The fact that you can make these things is amazing, I wish I could do that.
