I find your video very informative. I am reading your book on Hashimoto's disease now, because I was diagnosed with it about a year ago. Was put on Synthroid, and soon had irregular heart beats and took myself off with doctors okay. I have found in this year I am steadily getting worse with more symptoms, including breast involvement, and have lost hope. Reading your book has given me hope. I am also allergic to shell fish/Iodine, but have noticed when I cook with Sea Salt I feel better.
This is common, to have elevated thyroid hormones when prescribed the typical dose of Thyroid Hormones. This is because the thyroid hormones being produced by their own thyroid are constantly fluctuating, up and down, because their TSH is also going up and down. The way to initiate thyroid medication is to start slowly, about 1/4 to 1/3 the dose that most physicians start at. Starting at a low dose will help stabilize TSH and as it declines so will the thyroid inflammation.
when you say avoid iodine from food , should we stop eating fish? or dairy foods ? or some veggies? which are good for a healthy diet. i can understand that it is not for ever, but what can we eat in that period? thank you
@gigitube79 No, you don't need to avoid fish. Sea vegetation must be avoided since it's high in iodine and iodide. Dairy is OKl. There are many variables and considerations regarding what the best diet is for an individual. In general, people don't consume enough protein or cholesterol and focus too much on starches. Cholesterol is an essential fat. We require it for healthy levels of estrogen, progesterone, testosterone and all the adrenal hormones including cortisol.

This is the first I've heard about iodide.
