Really quite a beautiful version of this classic hymn-tune, Ron, played with that great symphonic sound which you so elegantly employ in your imaginative arrangement. One senses the faithfulness of a good and loyal heart in your music and in your written words, signposts of the noble spirit within. Your music grants the listener a remarkable moment of peace, as you so eloquently memorialize the life of Uncle Gordon Evans in the unfolding grace of the chords and reverential notes. Amen.
Hey Ron...you have outdun yourself and Dad would have loved this peace I am sure.
he always loved to sing this with the bass harmony that he was so good at... I will keep this on file....so much passion and so much heart ....thanks..your fav Cuz...
@obeedawn Hey Dawn I am so happy you approved I am very pleased you got the chance to see this. I never knew your Dad sang this song. But now I do. I think I had tears the entire time I was filming. Thank you for your kind complement. You are much loved by me too.
@obeedawn Hey Dawn I don't know if you noticed underneath the video I put information on your family. It reads;
In Loving Memory of my Uncle Gordon Evans. Sussex N.B. Survived by his children, Linda, Deborah, Sharon, Dawn, Daniel. Several grand children and neices and nephews. My uncle was also my God Father. He now joins the late Patricia Evans. May they rest in peace.

Mom(Dawn) told me this was one of Pops' favourite songs and it was one of the songs played at the funeral. So again, thank you for posting it , it really is beautiful.
@Snofuz68 Hello I am glad you liked the song for your POP. He was my favourite Uncle and God Father. I loved both He and your Grandmother Patricia. I don't think you ever met her she was a wonderful singer. So I thankyou for your kind thanks yous. And I say you are more than welcome. My pleasure. Glad you took time out to visit. Thanks
This is such an emotional, expressive and almost overwhelming piece of music. Your choice and mix of voices is absolutely perfect, it is like warm air wafting over me, and reminds me that life is too short for, well, really petty things.
If I could achieve half of your skill and understanding in music, then I would consider myself a good player.
God bless your Uncle and everyone who has departed or whose time is near.
@ImaLanger Dear Mike in "Ireland" You have made me so happy my friend. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness regarding my tribut and playing skills. Yet I find you are also a fine musician and not to be forgotten as such. I am sure my family will read this from you and will forever cherrish your kindess.
@MissVixxxen Hello I am so happy you had a chance to look and listen to my tribute to your Grandfather and My Uncle. He will be very missed to the entire family. Thank you for this wonderful complement. I think he would be happy knowing that I had done this for him.
@alainhammond Thank you so much Alain for saying so I also had many tears during the recording of this wonderful Hymn. If I had the camera on me you could have seen the deep feelings while embracing the memories of my Uncle and a very gentle man he was.
@alainhammond Thank you very much Alain. I know he would be proud because He was at the funeral when i had to play for my Aunt "his wife" back then. The organist got sick and I was asked to play the organ. They say she had a smile on her face from then on. I loved them both dearly. Thank you for your kind words Alain. I am so happy you could visit this very special video.
Thank you Leon I really Appreciate your stopping by on this one. Your complement is very very nice indeed. I am perhaps a little unsure just how to focus on with my camera. Seems the switches look funny on the organ but I set it to focus automatically all the time. So the camera has to think but glad you liked my dedication to my uncle.
A very beautiful dedication. As usual you create the finest orchestrations with meainingful sounds. Incidentally, your camera is doing an excellent job. Maybe I need to upgrade mine?
this was veery nice,Ron! - i actually played this on a friends funeral, somewhere in my uploads to - Levi
