  • Ski is a legend. By the way for those looking, I made an instrumental

for this. seeing as how there was never one released.

Tried to keep it as close as possible. Free DL of course. cheers. /watch?v=XWlP4wyJJkw

  • 4 dislikes? whaaat the fuuuuuck

  • camp lo is so underrated this takes me back to tenth grade these niggas' metaphors were before their time

  • theres got to be an instrumental for this

  • Perfect Instrumental such a Magical flow

  • I've heard this beat somewhere before... what song?

  • @ibreakkidslegs i heard it from some korean hiphop (Drunken tiger)

  • @ibreakkidslegs The Stylistics - Love Is The Answer.

  • the song is is dope but the bass is WAAAAAAAAAAAAY TOO LOW!!!

  • @nappyp33z It's meant to make you FEEL it. Don't talk about how the beat SHOULD sound, if it was any louder, you wouldn't be able to hear the song.

  • This song is great... though I was deeply dissapointed when I noticed that Drunken Tiger took their melody for I Want U from here :(

  • poetry.

  • i love this song!!! heard it for the 1st time 2day on a cassette tape and now i'm up here listening 2 it now... all i can say is WOW!!!!!

  • so talented yet so underated. just like Mos Def. Camp Lo is the shit. They never got their recognition they deserved. Todays music is shit compared to the 90s

  • dude, these lyrics is something up--these guys truly were way ahead of their time, if it's even come yet that is...

  • Apparently cock is on your mind. It sounds like connection

  • could you upload "mint condition"?

  • "In France I dance by the moon sailing from Cancun": Favorite verse =)

  • I hate helicopters.

  • good ol SP 12 Sound..i fux with that shit right here

  • incredible bass with huge "volume"!!!

  • Where'd they cop the tune from? I highly doubt its original. Very nice.

  • Theme song to the Love Boat if I remember it right.

  • Love is the Answer by the stylistics. i think it came out in 74 gotta check my aunt's crates

  • Stylistics huh? They're a good base I guess. "People Make the World Go Round" is bomb for some raps. This bay area dude (besides West Siiiiide Ice Cube) used it. Its been so long since I've been into hip hop that I fogot his name. Yeah, Stylistics are highly underrated. When they're on PBS they just sing their normal stuff. "Youuuuuuu're a genie in disguiiiiiise". Prince even remade that one. Prince's rehashes are all tight too.

  • Y'all should check out, Drunken Tiger-I Want You Naughty. They are korean rappers who use this beat and kill it.

  • Callin up the diamond deligates-Black Connection!

  • damn i want that beat

  • god that beat is fire!!!!!!

  • Song puts me in a zone

  • i agree they were ahead of their time

  • FIRE!!!!!!! This track takes me whereever I want to go in the universe. Fuck Swag...Camp Lo is the definition of freshness! These cats were ahead of they time but greatly appreciated. So original you cant even put a title on their style.

  • how can I find this on limewire?

  • u dont u fuck lunatic get rid of limewire and go cop the album.. if u cant find it go look harder

  • HahahaHAhahaha dope...

  • go out and bye the record

  • Krhm.. who said that this song is sampled from sum shitty rick roll joint? You're wrong.

The Sample is Stylistics - Love is the Answer

  • WU-like beat heh

  • Pure artistry, if niggas can be sellin' a million birds and choppin' everybody up, then they can also be some cool, playa, gettin' money type brothas. For me this was a little different from the rest of the Big Willy'isms happenin' around this time. (95-96)

  • the beat is sick

  • I love it... still... it's a rick roll beat

    "never gonna give you up...."

  • the debut album was sick!!!! i rocked this ittish when it first came out and still rockin it today.

  • this group is amazing they need to come bak

  • f grafitti had a voice deze muthata fuckas would have another album. seems kinda funny fo thoughs who dont draw. yet let it expand. thanx for takin yet another avenue of hip hop away, i miss her apperance in hiphop. and if you dont know what im sayin. heh, we still gonna prosper. so please hate on

  • When they came onto the scene and even NOW they are truly one the most creative styles of HIP-HOP(HIP-HOP NOT THAT RADIO/MTV/BET/stuff)that ever hit the scene.I HOPE THEY got sum stuff instored for the future.

  • you are so right!!! listening to this track now makes me see they were definetely further than the average!!!WE GOTTA BRING HIPHOP BACK TO THAT GOLDEN AGE FEELING!!!

  • Yeah it sux back then ''Camp Lo''got made fun of by alot of ''Mainstream Rap artist. But Hip hop isnt about sounding exactly like every other saleing artist.True Hip-hop is as found in its founding, was a music of creativity not conforming to the radio/music standard.Hip hop is in essence Ultimate creative ways of being made not a standard sound or definition.Hip-hop can and has been a mix of everything from Blues,Rock,R&B,etc its has and can be from everything.Thats hip hop to me atleast.

  • 2 of hip hops finest 4real!!!!

  • Satin Struthers, Diamond Delegates!!!!

  • Camp Lo-aaaaaaa!!!!

  • They got some crazy ass slang. Definitely the best song off the album.

  • bitches give respect 2 real niggaz hoes get real pure hip hop here straight buckdown fuck boys and tell yalls mama

  • good job jacaboe

  • search jigg littles freestyle

    bronx lyricist

  • Camp Lo were well ahead of the curve with this Uptown Saturday Night. One of my favourite rap albums from the 90s

  • Damn! just reading the lyrics and then listening to the song makes it seems as if this is one of the best songs ever made!

  • As underrated as they Lo is- thy def do have some of the best hip hop songs ever made. period.

nobody can do what Bronx Niggas do

  • except harlem world

  • Don't forget Crooklyn.

  • madd sick track..the beat is original

  • What a fucking good song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Originally in 97, I slept on this track only because I found the violin cheeze. Nowadays, I don't mind so much. Uptown Saturday Night was genius. Go Ski!

  • These dudes were ahead of their time...

  • If you guys can feel the rhythm of this instrumental, another group of rappers sampled this instrumental. Search for Drunken Tiger - I want you

  • wow this beat is too hot

  • One of my favourite albums is Uptown Saturday Night! An this is probably my favourite song of the album!

And yeah, i need that instrumental too... Any1 know where i can find it?

  • Where can I get the instrumental?

    Thank you!

  • Dope song! "Uptown Saturday Night" is a classic. There's not one skippable track on the album.

  • Drunken Tiger..hmm?

  • Yup, same hook, but I'm pretty sure DT sampled from this song, considering this album was out two years before DT's.

  • Peep the story SONNY CHEEBA GEECHEE SWEADE!

  • Geeechi Suede.

  • WE NEED 2 BUY CD's fuck download man in support hip hop

  • the thing about that is if an album is dope enough it will get bought. And if an artist wants to sell an album he has to put some kind of gimmick to it now. Like the first 100,000 are collectors editions and number the CD. or you get something free for buying it. shit like that will help u sell actual albums.

  • Man, I had heard of Camp Lo back in the day but didn't really know much about their music. I'm discovering them now on youtube. Wish I had known earlier. Its a shame that hiphop has moved away from stuff like this to shit like soulja boy. Nas is right, hiphop is dead. We need dudes like them, Lupe, etc to breath life back into it.

  • Speakn dat true sht right there man, middle finga 2 da ringtone rappers das how I feel

  • man this shit take me back. im from nc and believe me...cats was sleeping on these dudes. this is one of the illest beats ive heard!

  • big ups to the 'somali' reference in this joint!

    -somali

  • The sample is The Stylistics-Love is the answer

  • What is that sample?!?!

  • This song is one of my FAVs from Cheeba & Swade. Drunken Tiger did a remake of this song. Still wonderin where this sample came from. CAMP LO AH!!!

  • you have no idea wha you're talking about

    it can be sniffed

  • why would you ask someone if they ever been to the hood, what do you gain from asking that, nothing, i'm sick people happy to come from a hood, shits not nice, i mean hood life, im out and im never going back

  • I never glamorized the hood, I merely asked because most people who haven't been there wouldn't know about stuff like that. Notice I said 'no disrespect'...

  • no disrespect... but have you ever been to the hood?

  • you can sniff it. Just don't get all pulp fiction with it

  • it can be insufflated (snorted), its how most junkies get started.

  • I wish I knew about Camp Lo back in the day... I can't find anything by them in the stores

  • fressssh

  • AGGGHHHHHH MAAAANNNNN that's the joint that I used to play all the time. I can't here it now with these speakers, but the bass line used to hit hard.

  • BLACK ROB WAS DECENT TOO

  • whoa

  • Dope'

  • sounds like boon doc

  • damn!!! this take me back. This is where its at. It was about a mindstate not an act. true house partys not just freakshows. Keep post the real shit

  • such a great song from a classic album--greatness way before its time and still better than 95% of albums that come out today...Today's acts need to study how unique and brilliantly Camp Lo did it everytime they hit the mic

  • Uptown Saturday Night is that type of album you leave it on random and repeat, then just smoke a bliz to.

  • Thats the best Camp Lo track.
