this song is way isnt very good. but its way better that cameo. what the hell is that song even about? it's like a crapier version of a bad song on "OH NO"
I have the deluxe version with 15 tracks minus Knock Boots. I'll grab it a bit. Listen to "Please Baby Please" and tell me it doesn't sound like Adam & The Ants?
The focus group was real, but in the normal release of the album they were generally ignored, "Cameo" was one of the lowest voted songs but it made the normal album anyways.
It's all about what the record company wants, unfortunately, even with Devo :(
Though with that said, Knock Boots wasn't voted highly either, unfortunately. I personally thought it was one of the best ones from the focus group, I apparently was in the minority though :/
@pooh555190 I know they're calling the commercial CD the "corporate version," but I think that's a joke, too. I get the impression it's the album they intended to release all along. Keep in mind Jerry once bemoaned the fact that the focus groups rejected "No Place Like Home," a song he's obviously fond of...but it's there on the "corporate version." Hmmm...
If you buy the deluxe version of the album in iTunes you get all the songs.

I really like the choreography.
She not only dances to the beat of the music
but she seems to move with the flow of the lyrics.
HOT!

This should have been on the album. It's better than 1/2 the songs on there now.

Well if the whole focus group thing is real it is really their fault it isn't on the album.
And I agree, it is one of the best songs of the whole new bunch.
Listen to it some day and think Depeche Mode.
I think it is almost uncanny how much DEVO sounds like them here.
One of the other bonus songs sounds like Danny Elfman and Oingo Boingo.
"Let's Get To It" is the name I think.

@pooh555190
I had to come back and respond to you here:
I wasn't part of the focus group but I think they were
dead on as far as "Cameo" is concerned.
I love every one of the new songs, bonus or focus group approved,
except "Cameo." That's okay though. Even though I am a huge DEVO
fan I remember that even on some of their best albums they always had
at least one song I just didn't get. "Cameo" is that song this time around.
