We tried again yesterday as she visited home from college. We did nothing but die.

The Genesis' sound chip is so bad.

I remember always playing this game when I was little. I actually never beat it because I could never pass that damn lava level. Same with Aladdin, I couldn't pass the lava level on there either. I don't know what's up with lava levels being so hard to beat. >:(

Simba is undeniably cute, and The Lion King for me by far was one of my favourite movies of all time. But this videogame... I mean, just what is going on? I swear I spent hours trying to figure out what the heck to do in any given stage. When the Stampede came, I about gave up because it was so long and tedious. The Genesis sound effects are awful, barely doing the movie any justice.

Awesome speed run, by all means. But the Genesis had a real lack of sufficiently good games beyond Sonic. O_o
