I made this for my kids and they loved it! I loved it too! After i baked it my kids ate all of it so fast that after a day it was all gone. It was so good that im gonna make it again!

Haha! She's great! And this is my fav lemon meringue pie recipe because it tells me to let it cool for 3 hours. I didn't do that the past few Times I made it because I didnt know and the whole thing just collapsed
Some how from the pic, I wasnt sure if ya sealed the edges good thats why I mentioned it.Oh and if you use 8',9' disposable pie tin for pie crust.I dont put beans to weigh down my pie crust.What I do is put another tin on top and inside of the pie crust with the first tin.Then I bake the whole pie crust with the other tin inside fliped over on a baking sheet.The gravity and wieght of crust well prevent air pockets.
I like the way your lemon merigune looked, and the way you made the video.I seen several different video's already on this pie,but yours seems to be a better video.One thing many other video's failed to mention was when making a merigune ya have to have a degreased mixing bowl or egg whites wont stiffen up.One thing I can sugest to make the pie look more appealing is to put a cookie crumb or cake crumb around the edges,and make sure the merigune seals edges before crumb goe's on.Use to be abaker

i just made this too and used measuring cups/spoons (i usually just wing it lol) and my meringue is also super watery :( i even put my laptop in the kitchen so i could do each step with you (i'm a big fan!) but the only difference is that i used a handheld motorized whisk for the meringue part but it never got thick like yours, it got frothy but it stayed watery and never full and thick... should i use more sugar? more egg whites? bake longer? please? i was really looking forward to making this!
@UhTheeNuh89 i've had egg whites that fell apart last time because i put them in a bowl that previously contained other ingredients. egg whites will not maintain their peaks if they are tainted by other ingredients (i.e. bits of egg yolks). they also cannot be left to stand... unless you use cream of tartar. whisk them up only when you need them :)

Lemon Meringue is prolly my all time fav pie. I think it is 1 of the most Southern 4 sure next 2 Pecan pie :) This looks simple & easy but then u always make things look that way! @redskins2k I agree with you, Laura is much much better than betty and she deserves a cooking show.
I was blocked by that old lady from bettyskitchen just because I said that she had cooked spaghetti incorrectly by breaking it to fit the pot.
If you check on every comment of betty's video, you can't find a negative one, because she keeps deleting every bad comment and blocking everyone who criticized her dishes.
Betty is an amazing cook - one of the best on here! Yes she filters her comments but thats not necessarily a bad thing; she explained it as not wanting unnecessary negativity on her page and I agree, it really is a massively off-putting thing. Even then, I see unflattering comments on her pages all the time, I guess it depends on the severity of the comment.
I like both the channels because they have very different cooking styles and recipes.
@redskins2k What does age have 2 do with it? It should b all bout the cooking skills not the age. I thnk bettyskitchen would deserve her own cooking show as well as Laura. They have a different style of cooking, Bettys is more Southern style cooking more r less & Laura is more Italian/Gourmet. But I don't think 1 deserves a show more than the other because of their age. If anything that would make Betty more qualified if she has been cooking longer wouldn't it? Laura had been n the business.
I love how you always taste your food in the end of the video. it makes me want to cook it, coz you always look like in heaven. (:

If you check on every comment of betty's video, you can't find a negative one, because she keeps deleting every bad comment and blocking everyone who criticized her dishes.

Betty is an amazing cook - one of the best on here! Yes she filters her comments but thats not necessarily a bad thing; she explained it as not wanting unnecessary negativity on her page and I agree, it really is a massively off-putting thing. Even then, I see unflattering comments on her pages all the time, I guess it depends on the severity of the comment.
I like both the channels because they have very different cooking styles and recipes.

@redskins2k What does age have 2 do with it? It should b all bout the cooking skills not the age. I thnk bettyskitchen would deserve her own cooking show as well as Laura. They have a different style of cooking, Bettys is more Southern style cooking more r less & Laura is more Italian/Gourmet. But I don't think 1 deserves a show more than the other because of their age. If anything that would make Betty more qualified if she has been cooking longer wouldn't it? Laura had been n the business.
