I have been to emilys bridge a few times. The most recent time i went with my boyfriend and my friends hannah, owen, and timmy and we hung out for a few hours. We didnt do anything too disturbing. i have been to the bridge 3 times-i live in barre vt-and not a thing happened. i was there a least one hour each time,i called her name,and saw or heard nothing. i have seen a ghost when i was five. so i do beleave in ghosts. it sucks nothing happened with me at the bridge. i am going back and taking pics,so mabee this time.

How much research even went into this? The actresses' hair and apparel in the reenactment is inaccurate for the 19th - early 20th century....plus the fact that there is no historical evidence indicating any Emily/Emmeline had a connection to the bridge. What's worse is the lack of research presented that there was an accident/suicide/homicide connected to the bridge. Many historic landmarks have these hazy, second hand accounts connected to them.

I live in Vermont and went to Emilys bridge. We decided to use a cellphone to record and caught a ghostly voice talking to us and answering our questions. Dont go on halloween though the cops will be there waiting for you.

Her name isn't Emily. That was their meeting place, they were going to to get married. Henry left VT for temporary work. Letters eventually stopped. He never came home, and he never explained why. Live in near by johnson went there and talked to emily, left a small pile of pennies and snapped a photo with a hand in front of it that was not there, friend tried to call someone and the phone would not work. Leave small trinkets for emily to make her happy. Remember she is a lady

I was intrigued by your comments, as I have been researching Emily's Bridge since hearing reports by locals this past Friday on the morning radio show "Mike and Chantel in the Morning" on 95.5FM, 95TripleX. Not sure if you are a listener, but Mike and Kaiser from the show plan to visit the bridge on Halloween night. I would be interested to hear more about your experience, if you are so inclined. I only talked to her once, that is to say I only managed to get a ride to her bridge once, johnson is nearby but not walking distnace. I hope your not expecting much on halloween becuse the locals use the brige as a "dare"/ party spot, I wanted to do a communitcation on halloween and it didn't pan out. Drunk people are not conducive to speaking to the dead. She was kinda upset that they do that, after all it is her resting place.

They might get better results on the full moon after or before halloween but if this is a "stunt" then all the luck to them

as for research I suggest looking for books by Joe A Citro. he takes a very intesting stance on the stories of vermont. He did a good story on emily.

One night my old baby sitter and her friend were travelling thorugh Stowe late at night. They both had heard the story of emily and her boyfriend leaving her. They decided to be brave and go though the bridge. It was about 11:30 at night and their car hadnt been washed in ages. When they came out of the bridge and go back to the light of her their house, they noticed that there were two teenage sized hand print marks in the dust on the back of their car. 100 % true.

I live a couple miles away fro mthat bridge and ive gone in it at midnight (the legend says she is most active) and i felt a eerie foce of some sort. i had to get out of there.

ive heard of this story, and quite frankly i believe it. after the scene, there have been many car accidents under that bridge, and many say theyve almost been into accidents because there car has been like "pulled" by some force.

There seems to be a total lack of human imagination and spirit in many of these commentators--guess they should just stick to being x-box and Gameboy zombies.

Excellent film, very well made, sensitive and factual--beats the garbage reality shows you see on cable about ghosts, hands down.

And yes, I have seen a ghost as well.
