  • They are talking about how great those albums are, but they don't use the original recordings from the actual album... Huh? Why not the Metallica recordings?

  • Comment removed

  • Ride the Lightning is the best Metallica Album for me, its epic from the riffs to melodies, vocals, drums, bass, solos and even the name of the album, it implies they are riding the lightning as they use the electricity to make music, not to mention the tone is WAY better than on Master of Puppets its less mid scooped and more agressive.

  • that guy in the red is such a fucking loser

  • Ride The Lightning= Best album

  • justice was best

  • i agree

  • he said epic FEEL not fail

  • What the fuck?!

He just said "Epic fail for Fade to black"

    OH MY GOD!!

    What A DICK HEAD!

  • kill em all and ride the lightning are the best

  • I actually prefer Master over Ride The Lightning.

  • i would agree, but damn ride the lightning is such a great album. its so tough.. but master is great.

  • yeh it is i think kill em all was an album manly for james and lars because they were into the hole metal music style but still its not like cliff and kirk wernt into it no they were. in ride it did step them up there was more dynamics and it was just great. master was just amazing there was alot of cliff burton in that album but i agrre ride was awsome and justice i think if they wouldnt have cut the abss then it would have been ana awsome album because kirk had alot of awsome solos in it

  • in my opinion, ride the lightning was their best album

  • i dont think so. Its clear they had more talent to show off.

  • to me Master and Justice

  • the bald fucker was almost about to pop something at 2.45

  • it is not french, its spanish, and...

have you got any problem with it? i'm from uruguay, and millions of people out there dont speak english as you do, and this is the only way to show them the video

  • I like this DVD, but I hate the fact that it always is French subtitles, you can't even change the shit...

  • french ? omg ....

  • dude, are you illiterate or something?

  • i dont know any spanish and i can still tell its spanish how can u think its french?

  • portugese?

  • what dvd is this?

  • kirk has a great tone in that first solo of fade to black in the version played here.

  • I'd have to disagree with the video, Ride the Lightning had one dip at Escape. Other than that it really is an amazing album.

  • what are you talking about? Escape is great! Certainly not the best, but still a pretty good song!

  • agree to disagree I guess. Escape isn't a terrible song, but its never sat well with me; the other tracks on the album are all better.

  • what's the name of this dvd?^^

  • Where did these people get that Fade To Black, is it a demo or live performance or anything? It's different to the one on the album.

  • its live

  • Do you know what performance? I can't find it.

  • hmm. its definitly prior to 1986. its quite possible its the one from cliff em all. search for " cliff em all fade to black". but im not positive. give it a go.

  • Ok, thanks a lot ;)

  • That guy talking about the bay area was that Lee Altus?

  • It looks like him..

  • yes ;)

  • It's from the DVD "Metallica:Kill 'em All to St. Anger."

  • wat is this off of a show dvd movie what?

  • What does lars actually write song wise?

  • he doesn't really write any of the songs he helps with the arrangment, where the solos go or where they first verse should come in.

  • how come he always gets songwriting credits when he just arranges them? its beyond me, i suppose he does write those awesome drum parts XD ST ANGER!!! \M/

  • he gets writing credits because a part of songwriting is arranging the song

  • No you can arrange a cover song it's an arrangement not writing.

  • Arrangement of a song is writing. You think deciding where to put a breakdown or a solo or how to lay out the verse/chorus structure isn't part of the writing process? Thats just silly.

  • Its part of the arranging process its not like coming up with lyrics or the riffs. the way the writing credits are on metallica albums people could be mistaken to believe that hetfield and ulrich were a songwriting team ala lennon and mccartney etc, it should have music and lyrics-hetfield arranged by ulrich.

  • if u've seen the studio video clips from metallica, he's the guy that decides what the finished song is gonna sound like. He kinda has the say as in whether the song is good or not, and he arranges it to get em to his liking.

  • Where are the Puppets and Black Album segments?
