I think Kenpachi will eventually become so strong, that the Bankai. Will just happen, so he will be like a constant walking Bankai. Just my theory though, considering he doesn't know his Zanpakotou's name. He would need Urahara's help like you said, to get to know his Zanpakotou.
Zaraki Kenpachi will never bankai because he can't- think about it, how can he ever master his 2 handed sword if every time he uses it properly he one shots everyone? He would never go for that, particularly since he does everything he can to prohibit his abilities in battle, from wearing an eyepatch to drain half his power to allowing opponents "free cuts" in order to drag fights out. He basically operates at 25% power because most opponents are too weak for even that.

They have individual powers called Reiatsu. And then they have soul swords basically. Their Zanpakutou's are linked to their souls, and the swords themselves are souls in a sense. So they lend the user their strength during battle.
Think of it as Kakashi borrowing the powers of the Sharingan to keep up with Rock Lee's movement after opening two gates.

That book also tries much too hard to give parity to Yammato and Aizen. Yammato maxed 5/6 stats, Aizen 3/6, but to achieve parity, they make Yammato a physical weakling. Get real. What is a more likely scenario: Overall Yammato is bit stronger than Aizen, but Aizen has the trumph card, his illusion techinque. Probably Espada#1=Yammato, those old men, 'kings' of their kind. Uohana has not fought once so far, including in the latest magna, thus one cannot gauge her strength in combat.
Unohana has never fought. Some think she maybe stronger because of fake made up stats on the Net. Kenpachi raw power is greater than any captain, including Yammato and Aizen. He just needs to harness it, BANKAI. Even without it, he is a TOP captain. He would have trouble with #1 and #2 Espada and Aizen. That is it among the bad guys. But I would never count him own. He owned Tousen AND Kammaoura.
Actually, there's actual merchandise from KT, a statistic book, that gives the most likely rank of power at the current moment. The top position was Aizen and Yamamoto, third was Unohana. She's also one of the oldest Captains. The strength rating most likely'd change if Kenpachi could master Bankai - but for the time being, no, he couldn't be stronger than Yamamoto.
You don't need to have taken graduate level statistics like I have to know that these stats are way off base. They have been refuted by the facts. Two captains who are much stronger than Kenpachi, based on those statistics, were defeated by him. This is without having taken off his eye patch and using his two hands. Espada#5 was very easily defeated by Kenpachi using this techinque. Which implies Kenpachi is FAR STRONGER than #5.
I wouldn't say Kenpachi easily defeated Nnoitra - he did get pretty beat up along the way after Nnoitra went into his release form. Also, Kenpachi only defeated Tousen. Kenpachi likes to get bloodied up when he has fun with a worthy opponent. But in the end, when using his all, he so far outclassed #5, not even close. There is this so-called captain's power level book, both are above Kenpachi, but that just utter garbage: ie. ranking someone who has no fighting data/Uohana. Komamura was manhandled. Both attacked Kenpachi, he held off against both. I have no dobut he would have beaten both, he seemed confident of it too. Tousen dismissed like he was garbage.

Not my personal opinion, but verifiable evidence, as shown on screen. Kenpachi did own 2 captains at once, according to the guide both are stronger than him. Kenapchi did easily defeat #5 Espada, far higher ranked than any other captain thus far. with that kind of power he would defeat #4, and possibly #3. He will probably need to learn other techniques to take on #1 and #2. Nnoitra was certainly good, but Kenpachi was way too much for him. Kenpachi going full blast just blew away #5.
If it's something you've interpreted on screen but so long as no one on screen, or Kubo Tite, said that Kenpachi is the strongest captain then it's your own personal opinion.
It seems that you're basing strength only off of physical ability... but there's also kido, intelligence, etc. Kenpachi has massive physical strength but no kido ability at all. If an enemy were to use kido on him he could easily be defeated. It's basically coincidence that he had to fight Nnoitra, who's the same way.
Those kido/magical attacks would have little or no effect on Kenpachi. He did deflect Noitoria's Cero blast with one hand. Those magic tricks are good for weaker warriors. Kenpachi does not require tricks to own his opponents. No cowardly illusions or other type of magic.
Using a skill to defeat the opponent is hardly considered cowardly. I also think kido WOULD have an effect on Kenpachi - Aizen showed that when he took out Komamura in a matter of seconds with a few simple words and nothing more. Even though you say that Kenpachi was stronger than Komamura (even though they didn't really fight...), it's obvious that Aizen's kido could have easily taken out Kenpachi. This means Unohana, who has the same kido ability as Aizen, could defeat Kenpachi with it.

In the real world, not this fake garbage, that would mean she would get owned. Being a captain, she would have a powerful spirtual energy, however, against another captain that fights a lot, she would lose.
There's not proof that she can't fight just because she's the healing captain. Again, according to the power guide, her least powerful ability is mobility with 70. Her defensive power is second lowest with 80 points - the same as Kenpachi's. The only other one that is at 100 points is her body power which is 90, only 10 points lower than Kenpachi's.
She has never fought once in all of Bleach, from the movies, to the episodes, to the latest manga (what appears to the final confrontation is taking place), and it is very unlikely she will ever fight once in Bleach before the show ends. ALL other captains have fought at least once. All those fictional stats are just that. Fox guy has all the physical fighting capabilities at 100,yet Kenpachi owned him. If they fight again, same result.

Kenpachi did own the Fox. If he was that strong (stated stat of 100 for strength), he would never have been flipped over so easily, or have his and Tousen swords blocked simultaneously. Say he made up these stats, it would have been early on in his career. Now things changed, he may want to update his (supposedly) stats. His analysis is too simple, i.e. all 80 across the board stats for Gin. I am probably being too picky, certainly these wouldn't stand up to any kind of statistical rigor.
I don't know what happened to your definition, but if he owned Komamura, there would have been massive damage to him. Besides, going on defensive is easier than forcing yourself on offense, which explains why he could block two simultaneous attacks. As for being flipped, hits always go back and forth in combat. Eventually, Komamura would have gotten an equally good hit on Kenpachi.

You guys remember how strong ichigo was when he didn't know zangetsu's name? he would probably get owned by the quincy. how much did he grow just by learning the name of zangetsu? he got getsuga tenshou, bankai, extreme power and speed, etc... now imagine Zaraki who doesn't even know the name of his Zanpaktou and he is already at captain's level. if he gets a bankai he would probably be able to take on at least the top 3 espada by himself.

That book also tries much too hard to give parity to Yammato and Aizen. Yammato maxed 5/6 stats, Aizen 3/6, but to achieve parity, they make Yammato a physical weakling. Get real. What is a more likely scenario: Overall Yammato is bit stronger than Aizen, but Aizen has the trumph card, his illusion techinque. Probably Espada#1=Yammato, those old men, 'kings' of their kind. Uohana has not fought once so far, including in the latest magna, thus one cannot gauge her strength in combat.

Unohana has never fought. Some think she maybe stronger because of fake made up stats on the Net. Kenpachi raw power is greater than any captain, including Yammato and Aizen. He just needs to harness it, BANKAI. Even without it, he is a TOP captain. He would have trouble with #1 and #2 Espada and Aizen. That is it among the bad guys. But I would never count him own. He owned Tousen AND Kammaoura.

Actually, there's actual merchandise from KT, a statistic book, that gives the most likely rank of power at the current moment. The top position was Aizen and Yamamoto, third was Unohana. She's also one of the oldest Captains. The strength rating most likely'd change if Kenpachi could master Bankai - but for the time being, no, he couldn't be stronger than Yamamoto.

You don't need to have taken graduate level statistics like I have to know that these stats are way off base. They have been refuted by the facts. Two captains who are much stronger than Kenpachi, based on those statistics, were defeated by him. This is without having taken off his eye patch and using his two hands. Espada#5 was very easily defeated by Kenpachi using this techinque. Which implies Kenpachi is FAR STRONGER than #5.

I wouldn't say Kenpachi easily defeated Nnoitra - he did get pretty beat up along the way after Nnoitra went into his release form. Also, Kenpachi only defeated Tousen. Komamura didn't get a fair shot because he left to go help Yamamoto. Besides, there was no proof that Komamura and Tousen were stronger than Kenpachi...

Kenpachi likes to get bloodied up when he has fun with a worthy opponent. But in the end, when using his all, he so far outclassed #5, not even close. There is this so-called captain's power level book, both are above Kenpachi, but that just utter garbage: ie. ranking someone who has no fighting data/Uohana. Komamura was manhandled. Both attacked Kenpachi, he held off against both. I have no dobut he would have beaten both, he seemed confident of it too. Tousen dismissed like he was garbage.

Yes, but isn't this captain's power guide more reliable than your own personal opinion? The book must have been created by Kubo Tite himself (lest copyright laws get involved), and since he created the characters himself wouldn't he know the most about them?
Besides, Kenpachi enjoys the fight as much as he enjoys getting bloodied up, but he wouldn't let himself be so cut up by someone that wasn't a good challenge. Nnoitra put up a good fight for Kenpachi.

Not my personal opinion, but verifiable evidence, as shown on screen. Kenpachi did own 2 captains at once, according to the guide both are stronger than him. Kenapchi did easily defeat #5 Espada, far higher ranked than any other captain thus far. with that kind of power he would defeat #4, and possibly #3. He will probably need to learn other techniques to take on #1 and #2. Nnoitra was certainly good, but Kenpachi was way too much for him. Kenpachi going full blast just blew away #5.

If it's something you've interpreted on screen but so long as no one on screen, or Kubo Tite, said that Kenpachi is the strongest captain then it's your own personal opinion.
It seems that you're basing strength only off of physical ability... but there's also kido, intelligence, etc. Kenpachi has massive physical strength but no kido ability at all. If an enemy were to use kido on him he could easily be defeated. It's basically coincidence that he had to fight Nnoitra, who's the same way.

Those kido/magical attacks would have little or no effect on Kenpachi. He did deflect Noitoria's Cero blast with one hand. Those magic tricks are good for weaker warriors. Kenpachi does not require tricks to own his opponents. No cowardly illusions or other type of magic.

Using a skill to defeat the opponent is hardly considered cowardly. I also think kido WOULD have an effect on Kenpachi - Aizen showed that when he took out Komamura in a matter of seconds with a few simple words and nothing more. Even though you say that Kenpachi was stronger than Komamura (even though they didn't really fight...), it's obvious that Aizen's kido could have easily taken out Kenpachi. This means Unohana, who has the same kido ability as Aizen, could defeat Kenpachi with it.

No, because Kenpachi can survive wounds that no others can and still fight on. Unohana could not because she does not have the illusion technique. Unohana would get owned.

Exactly, she is a healing captain. Not a fighter. Fact is, she has not fought once in Bleach, be it the anime or the latest Manga (343), she is nowhere to be seen when the fighting starts. In the real world, not this fake garbage, that would mean she would get owned. Being a captain, she would have a powerful spirtual energy, however, against another captain that fights a lot, she would lose.

There's not proof that she can't fight just because she's the healing captain. Again, according to the power guide, her least powerful ability is mobility with 70. Her defensive power is second lowest with 80 points - the same as Kenpachi's. The only other one that is at 100 points is her body power which is 90, only 10 points lower than Kenpachi's.

She has never fought once in all of Bleach, from the movies, to the episodes, to the latest manga (what appears to the final confrontation is taking place), and it is very unlikely she will ever fight once in Bleach before the show ends. ALL other captains have fought at least once. All those fictional stats are just that. Fox guy has all the physical fighting capabilities at 100,yet Kenpachi owned him. If they fight again, same result.

Kenpachi did own the Fox. If he was that strong (stated stat of 100 for strength), he would never have been flipped over so easily, or have his and Tousen swords blocked simultaneously. Say he made up these stats, it would have been early on in his career. Now things changed, he may want to update his (supposedly) stats. His analysis is too simple, i.e. all 80 across the board stats for Gin. I am probably being too picky, certainly these wouldn't stand up to any kind of statistical rigor.

I don't know what happened to your definition, but if he owned Komamura, there would have been massive damage to him. Besides, going on defensive is easier than forcing yourself on offense, which explains why he could block two simultaneous attacks. As for being flipped, hits always go back and forth in combat. Eventually, Komamura would have gotten an equally good hit on Kenpachi.
I still refuse to believe a guy on Youtube over Kubo Tite himself though, I have to say.

Kenpachi's sword holds a shikai form, but none of the power because he can't comunicate with it. It's said that the fact that he doesn't know his sword's name damages both their strength, so even if Kenpachi just gained a proper shikai and not just the sword's form he'd be bloody powerful.

Kenpachi Vs Viazard Ichigo. Since Kenpachi can take a strong Espada that nearly killed ichigo, even though ichigo was already harshly wounded, i think he would put up a good fight, but since ichigo beat him when he never even had bankai, ichigo would very likely win. lol, doesnt really make sence though, since kenpachi loses when ichigo dont even have bankai, and now suddenly he can take an espada, lol, guess it makes show better when their suddenly unrealistically stronger. :)

You guys remember how strong ichigo was when he didn't know zangetsu's name? he would probably get owned by the quincy. how much did he grow just by learning the name of zangetsu? he got getsuga tenshou, bankai, extreme power and speed, etc... now imagine Zaraki who doesn't even know the name of his Zanpaktou and he is already at captain's level. if he gets a bankai he would probably be able to take on at least the top 3 espada by himself.

Kenpachi's sword breaks at the end and he does admit defeat but ichigo admits defeat first and falls almost dead on his face before kenpachi so this fight can go 2 ways. either it is a kenpachi victory or a draw but it is NOT an ichigo victory. you cannot win a fight when you fall to die before your opponent does. its stupid

Zaraki was basically fighting at half strength when both his and Ichigo's sword were at the same level, because his power and his sword are pushing against each other. If he had his swords name would have ass raped Ichigo. Ichigo on the other hand was fighiting at full strength.

Kenpachi is one scary mutha. In all my years I've never seen someone like him. This guy makes every badass I know seem like nothing in comparison. If kenpachi learned how to use his sword at its maximum. I'd be scared shitless. It would pretty much be the end for Soulreaper, Quincy, and Holo alike. Kenpachi would send them all to hell if he knew how to use his sword.
