That is the level of skill that we people would take so long to achieve! those guys do a wonderful job there! They are fast, precise and consistent with the delicacies!
Thanks a lot for posting this. I've tried it a couple of times, couldn't get it quite as airy, soft and crispy as they do it in shops. But i see two steps in this video that could help, layering them and beating them to get them spread out and very thin without breaking. What a great idea. Can't believe i never thought of this, seeing as how i live in Tamilnadu :) Thanks again.
I stayed in tamil nadu for a few years and this was my sister's favorite. I really miss those days very badly!!!!!! Thank you soooooooo muchhh for uploading this video!!!
Wow. Wow. Wow. Anyone who doesn't love Indian food must be crazy. I am so jealous of how this man got his parotta dough so thin and light and crispy like that. It must have been delicious.
THAT was the most fascinating video I have seen on your channel. Even my husband was mesmerised. How on earth did he do that, and what is that made of that it would flex, roll, wind, and layer that beautifully? It's almost like homemade phyllo dough, or an Indian croissant naan or something. I would LOVE to know how to do that :o) Of course I'd be 500 pounds within 6 months :o)
@indigolady52 no, you probably won't gain much weight if you learn how to do that. that already looks like a workout so i guess it won't matter how many parottas you eat, you're gonna burn it all with the rolling and flipping of the dough anyway :))
I think I died and went to food heaven just looking at this video......we have the most amazing street cooks!!! I envy the tummy that was filled with this yum paranthas....oh, now I am a little sad too..why do you torture us with such videos!!!
@ShowMeTheCurry okay, i made this an hour ago using an internet recipe. for someone like me who is so bad at chapati making and whose flat bread shapes come out like the map of Africa. I actually think i scored 60% and all were consumed and they didnt touch the home made parathas lol wohoo. the next time i make it, ill do a video response for you guys on the final result.

Is it some kind of puff pastry? Looks amazing!
carinecampier 6 months ago
@carinecampier
its not puff paftry
it's a kind of bread like roti - the north indian bread but made from chick pea flour and salt and water.
i dont know the exact combination but it one of the best things you will ever eat in india.
it is a versatile improv and a south indian version to the north indian roti
jgalex1990 6 months ago
