  • 4 guys are zombies which dont like Burton movies :D:D:D:D

  • Thumbs up if you think sarah jessica parker and johnny depp drank water from the fountain of youth they have not age one bit

  • 5/10

  • It makes me wonder if, 40 years from now, there's going to be a biopic about Tommy Wiseau's film career.

  • "Awwwrighhht ... lets shoot dis fucker!". Martin Landau was excellent in this.

  • according to this trailer, " no one gives two fucks for bela "

  • Ed Wood and Batman

  • "...No I love sex with girls!"

  • this needs more views

  • When they said "Sarah Jessica Parker" I thought they were joking and that it was actually one of the transvestites

  • @neasone in the movie she says "does my face atcually look like a horse"

  • @mohawkman2006 I know, sounds like an inside joke since she does.

  • man i love this movie.it's johnny depp at his weird best.this is a movie that i never get tired of watching.martin landau was great as beal lugosi and bill murray was funny as ever.i saw plan 9 and it was entertaining.i know it's supposed to be bad but i have seen worse.

  • does anyone know any more Bio films like this and CHAPLIN? please?

  • I didn't exactly like this movie. It's well made and everything, and plenty entertaining. But it sort of portrays Ed Wood like he was a simpleton or something. I think Burton was a bit presumptuous with a lot of aspects of this movie

  • Easily Tim Burtons best film and Johnny Depp's best performance.

  • @MStevo7695 Naa.... He's best performance is in Fear and loathing in Las Vegas.

  • I forgot that Johnny Depp was young too, I really did..

  • This film taught me that it's not about making great movies, it's about making the movies you want to make and having fun with it!

  • vissions are with fitting for

  • funny thing about this movie is that common audience today have never heard of it but when they see it, it blows them away

  • it maks you feel happy about Why Ed wood was born to make movies, and it shouldve been an acadamy award picture.

  • Haha Get me Transvestites, i need transvestites!!

  • Johnny ♥

  • There was a horse in this movie as a star? :O:D

  • Personally i think this is best film that Tim Burton every made. I always hated his Batman. Never cared for Edward Scissorhand. And Beetlejuice was o.k..

  • I thought Sarah Jessica Parker was a Transvestite 1:18

  • curiously the production of this movie did cost more than all the movies of Ed Wood together

  • lol this is so interesting!

  • too bad johnny depp's ed wood and willy wonka characters are ONE in the same.

  • @Gproducshizz the same with Sam from 'Benny & Joon' and 'Edward Scissorhands' .. :P

  • actually the worst movie director ever is Michael Bay

  • @CosmicRewind yep, james cameron is a total shiteater as well.

  • @CosmicRewind WRONG try Uwe Boll,M Night Shyamalan, or Joel Shumacher.

  • @a1b26600 Joel Shumacher directed Lost Boys and St. Elmo's Fire. Are you kidding?!

  • @TheStanCave Batman and Robin, The Incredible Shrinking Woman, and the #23 are all shitty movies made by joel shufocker

  • @CosmicRewind: No, Leni Riefenstahl, the director of the notorious Nazi Germany propaganda films Triumph of the Will and Olympia, should get the "award," despite her talent. With an Edward D. Wood film, you either enjoy it or you walk away thinking, "This guy didn't know how to make movies." With Riefenstahl's films, you get glorifications of Adolf Hitler and nothing else.

  • J'adore ce film avec Johnny Depp :DD <3

  • Without a single doubt Tim Burton's best movie. It's not unlike him and wonderfully shot and written. It's a masterpiece.

  • its spelt Edward not Edwood lol

  • @jackxl53 le me clear things up for you. Is name is Edward D. Wood Jr. or Edward Davis Wood Jr. but the abbreviation for his name has always been Ed Wood. Im not kidding you the film is based on a true story.

  • @KelanDWood I know its a joke. The "lol" I put there implies its a joke and that I wasn't serious. I hve seen the movie and I did think it was alright.

  • @jackxl53 oh I thought the LOL implied that you thought the mistake was funny. I respect your opinion. I love the movie because I can relate to it. I've made short films because I love doing it. It's about ambition, being the best you can be. I can relate to this movie. And it's hilarious :)

  • @KelanDWood yes your right its great. And even though Ed Wood was a terrible b movie director it does inspire to direct or

  • @jackxl53 yeah

  • This movie is hilarious!! I kept laughing throughout the whole thing. Definitely worth watching. Johnny does such a great job, and how he talks with that lisp in the movie, he deserved an Oscar for this. And Bill was hilarious too. Great movie.

  • This is a must see for any aspiring artist

  • uwe bolt the new ed wood?

  • @kimberleyseetoes Good guess, only problem I see with this comparison is that Wood was actually passionate about what he did Boll doesn't seem to give a shit when he's making a movie, and he's pretentious enough to say the likes of Spielberg are jealous of his talent, Wood actually had respect for his much superiors.

  • @kimberleyseetoes i've not seen his movies but Uwe Boll's reaction to criticism is irritating and he's an asshole. Sure Ed Wood was sad at times about what people thought of him like most people would be but had ambition,he tried to be the best he can be. He did what he did because he loved it not because people would like it. Uwe Boll said to someone that they should go f*ck there mom because they gave him a bad review. What a douche bag. How dare you compare the two.

  • @KelanDWood Sorry I haven't seen movies from either directors or Ed Wood I just know in general people said they were bad directors so I thought I would make the connection with that alone. Ed Wood seems like an interesting person hence I want to see this movie

  • @kimberleyseetoes The movie is one of my favorites. Definitely worth the look

  • best tim burton movie ever

  • this has actually got to be one of depp's best looking roles, definitely

  • Johnny Depp & Tim Burton are the best combination ever! Love them both! For me Tim Burton its a freaking genius!

  • i luv johnny Depp !!!!!

  • It's sad that Ed Wood never lived long enough to see this movie. It absolutely does not mock him, even though the movies were attrocious. His shows that his 'vision' and passion for cinema put him with the greats

  • by seeing his acting skill, i can't believe johnny depp never wins any oscar....

  • @SalwaisFirda Its because hes a phenomenal character actor in an era where the oscar is worthless.

  • @SalwaisFirda Has he never? I think he's one of the top 5 greatest actors of all time!

  • @SalwaisFirda Ikr, he’s been nominated for like 10 and he only own 1

  • Nowadays, no one gives two fucks for Bela.

  • What's weird about this movie is that it's made in the 90s, the plot happens in the 60s, it's made to look like it was made in the 40s, and I watched it in the 2000s! Mind blowing!

  • @toxicMDR2

But i think the decision to make this black and white is what made this a flop. With 18 million dollar budget, the movie only earned 5 million. Maybe if the movie was shot in colour to reflect Ed Wood's colourful and weird life, it would have made much more.

  • @toxicMDR2: The events in the film took place in the 1950s, not the 1960s. Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, who also wrote "The People vs. Larry Flynt" and the Andy Kaufman biopic "Man on the Moon," called Wood an "anti-Great Man." They limited the focus to Wood's three films with Bela Lugosi, "Glen or Glenda," "Bride of the Monster" and "Plan 9 from Outer Space." They chose the "premiere" for "Plan 9" and Ed saying, "This is the one that I'll be remembered for" as the exit.

  • @toxicMDR2 50s not 60s

  • @toxicMDR2 decadeception!

  • I think that this is Johnny Depp's best film because he really captured Ed Woods love of film and that is what impressed me the most plus the humor and other good actors.

  • 1:20 There's a deleted scene not on the DVD.

  • Johnny Depp's Best Performances: Edward Scissorhands (1990) Benny & Joon (1993) What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993) Ed Wood (1994) Don Juan DeMarco (1994) Donnie Brasco (1997) Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998) Secret Window (2004) Finding Neverland (2004) Public Enemies (2009)
  • ed wood is a fucking hollywood legend

  • @EpicF4iLx23 And his movies, it seems, have an enjoyable quality to it that no bad movie director has ever had.

  • And Ed, how come a transvestite donkey witch is standing next to you and wearing a dress?

  • Ed Wood's movies are better than movies that involve Michael Bay and sparkling vampires!! Go Ed Wood! You're a legend!!

  • ''Really? Worst film you ever saw? Well my next one will be better.....hello?''

I love how casually he says that line :P.

  • Tim Burton makes good movies, but 2 ppl disagree

  • one of my favorite films.

  • Is this movie in ''black and white'' ?

  • @wingwing9817 Yes it's filmed in black and white. And it looks damn good.

  • @wingwing9817 yes it's meant to make it feel like a movie made in the 1950s give it a certain atmosphere that color can't match

  • Great movie. I expected nothing from this movie, but it was perfect movie making. The best film of 1994, so much better than the overrated "Forest Gump

I was amazed how good it was.

  • @paulnadra Should've gotten a best picture nomination, in my opinion.

  • I think he just didn't give a damn

  • I'll bet that Ed Wood knew that his movies were terrible; he just didn't give a damn or he wanted to be remembered that way.

  • Sadly, I don't think a movie like this could be produced today. Shame, really.

  • johnny looks good like that i love his voice in this one

  • With all this talk of Tim Burton, I would like to be the one to point out that he also directed Pee Wee's Big Adventure.

  • Besides Sweeney Todd (because it was already a great story), the only Burton-directed movies I think are truly awesome are the dramas. Big Fish, Ed Wood, and Edward Scissorhands are pure gold.

  • That looks amazing!

  • so a guy made a movie about a guy thats making movies?

    now thats awsome!

  • i didn't like it.... it's kinda boring, the character doesn't suit Johnny Depp, he's always plays exciting, cool etc. characters....

  • @biba1baba2buba3 What isn't exciting and interesting about Edward D. Wood Jr.?

  • One unique thing about Ed Wood is that it's the only Tim Burton movie where the music wasn't done by Danny Elfman, instead it was Howard Shore, who you may also know as the guy who did the music for many Peter Jackson movies, including the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

  • Simple movies, awesome time

  • patricia arquette looks like johnny depp here!! 1:21

  • Best Tim Burton film by miles!!!!

  • i feel i should mention i cross dress whenever i watch ed wood

  • @320storm

You guys should come out and play ore often.

    :)

  • Ed wood may have made some bad movies but he never gave into the man and he keept his vision and i can respect that, RIP Ed Wood.

  • wow Ive scene almost all of tim burton's movies except this one and watching this trailer I'm a little disappointed in myself. I also have to say ever since that charlie and in the chocolate factory incident i felt mr.burton has been slacking.

  • @mikeface1 dont worry this movie was made before that movie

  • @kallemick Yes Ive recently rented this film and now is my favorite Tim Burton film well I still hold Vincent,Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, BeetleJuice and Batman in very high regard.

  • @darkiscoolz Yeah

  • noooo, i dont think this is tim burtons best.. very good though

  • 0:27, the girl in the frony looks like I don't know if she is the same actress) Drusilla in Buffy the vampire slayer

  • Haha I love this film! ♥ Johnny's amazing

  • è bellissimo questo film:))

  • oh I'm slightly happy that I'm related the rest well he is a black sheep in the family

  • @Aaronwoodiscool - how dare they, he's a decorated man dammit.

  • Fucking great film.

  • Tim Burton, true genius!!

  • iV'e never seen this movie before but the trailer is so funny!i have to watch it!NOW

  • Is it weird that I though Sarah Jessica Parker was the transvestite?

  • @monkeyonatable

You know, I thought that too.

  • @billiardonline She's repugnant physically and personality-wise. That vulture has nothing going for her..shes not even a great actress, nothing.

  • Love this movie. Cant stand sarah jessica parker.

  • Seems odd- in a funny, good and interesting way. I hadnt heard about this movie until a few days ago, but yeah it looks pretty alright.

  • Depp seems to put it on a bit much (which I guess isn't a bad thing), but you can see in the elevator scene with the trannies and Bill Murray that Murray is perfectly at peace with his character. In fact, he probably didn't even have a character in mind.

  • who agrees this is tim burton's best movie? i mean, in my opinion it is...

  • @atomichead777 I agree! 100% his best one!

  • @atomichead777 Yeah it's my favorite as well. But I love all of his movies.

  • @atomichead777 well, I actually think 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street' is Burton's best movie, but yeah, I know what you mean, this movie is fabulous! just great!

  • @gann69

    i loved sweeney todd

  • @atomichead777 It's my second favorite from Burton next to Big Fish.

  • @atomichead777 you have 102 thumbs up

  • @gut197

    omg :O

  • @atomichead777 ironically that in your opinion Tim Burton's best film is about the worst director of all time

  • Ed Wood may have been the worst director ever but this film actually makes him seem a pretty good guy

  • @hjfleeds you know, I don't think it's fair to say Ed Wood is the worst director of all time. I mean sure his movies flopped and are laughably bad, but Ed Wood had passion for what he was doing, and fought for his right to continue doing what he loved, even if it was crap. You want a horrible director? Uwe Boll! No passion, is only in it for the money, and is a big asshole!! I'm not hating or bashing you or anything, I just think that Ed Wood is too often viewed in a negative light

  • @Arbitr0n If everyone had just a tenth of Ed Wood's passion we wouldn't see so many crappy movies year after year

  • @hjfleeds Have you ever heard of Uwe Boll?

  • One of my favourites - never get tired of watching it, and think Johnny Depp was excellent (as was Marin Landau, who I believe won an Oscar for his supporting role). I would have liked to have known Ed Wood, mostly because of his infectious optimism and enthusiasm.

  • CLASSIC! <3
