After TSP suggested I use Scarf tar on my sand team I went and lead with it. BAM 6-0 6 turn sweep. Scarftar is a beast.

@DexterrsDad Wrong. Scarftar was a 4th gen monster and a staple in the later metagame. He threatened a large part of OU with ohko's and 2hkos and could go mixed to threaten things that walled him like Gliscor and Scizor. Sure in 5th gen he isn't quite as good. But anyone who says he sucks is moron.

@stupidheadlesskid If you were doing a mix TTar, why would you scarf it? Kind of defeats the purpose of being mix, no? Usually with mix sweepers/wall breakers you want to be able to change moves at a whim. I'll admit, I wasn't around for the very end of Gen 4 because I hated where it was going. But, I can definitely say I could handle a Scarf TTar pretty easily.

@DexterrsDad Well no a mixed scarf tar can still wreck face because it can catch someone off guard. Also it wasn't mixed I was just telling you why it doesn't suck. This was way way back before anyone put a scarf on ttar and ran BOAH so when you run through half your opponents team, live through his scarfer, kill it, there isn't alot you can do at that point but roll over and die. Back then when no one thought of it no one prepared for it. This was before platinum had even come out.

I once swept with a Choice Scarfed Wish-Passing Seismic Toss Blissey....He tricked the Scarf onto me and it came down to Blissey vs. 4 other pokes....Most of his pokes were mostly dead and had low HP, but Blissey still got me 4 kills and the win.

@Jlavoie9866 You can RNG (there are some articles about that on Smogon... I'd like to give you another reference, but sadly, it's the best I know) but some people don't consider that legit, I don't know why.

Otherwise, you can always breed two Pokémon from different region. Especially in B/W, the chance has been raised. All you have to do is say breed an American Snivy with a Japanese one for boosted chances.

@darkwarcloud What? No it's not. It's 20% * 20% * 70% * 70%, which is 1.96%, or roughly fifty times what you stated it was.

Now, if you combine that with two Poison point activations (30% * 30%), you get 0.18%. That's the chances of that exact sequence happening twice.

Of course, the sequence wasn't that notable the first time... it was only notable the second time because it had already happened once. So it's more relevant to say the chances of it repeating were (20%*30%*70%), or 4.2%.

@Xeferous Because Ninjask was Paralyzed, it gives him a -6 stage penalty... so Ninjask was able to use the +7 boost but once he passes it off it'll just cut at +6.
