  • I tried to do this the 'slick' way by not sliding with the double stops. No dice. Sliding them is the only way. Who knew this was so fucking hard? Damn!

  • Nice work...Well done!!

  • @gdosic thanks it is really hard and i can't do it any more, i lost it, i have to train again if i want tot be able to play it again regards

  • @oggythebug It's so good,indeed...I really appreciate your fantastic "finger picking style"..

  • @gdosic this style is called chicken picking, i am playing the lower note with the plectrum and the higher note with a finger , this song is hard to play in this style because it is fast. the left hand is really more difficult to play than the right hand. the left hand needs a tough training thanks regards

  • i wanna hear a bend and not a slide.. pretty sure Paul was bending

  • @chlore2004 hello, this song was recorded with 2 diiferents harmonized guitars played at the same time not like this in double stops it was just a fun for me to do this job, but when you re playing the double stops so with both guitars notes played at the same time on the same guitar sometimes you must move fast to another part of the neck and you can only slide, try to do this it is very difficult and we will talk about it again once you will show me what you can do best from France oggy

  • Hi oggy,

this is a fine work too but your "And your bird can sing the beatles on 1964 fiesta red strat cover lesson" is imho lightyears better than this - I love it and I wish that one day I be able to play guitar as good as you can.

But this is a long, long way for me. I started to play guitar a half year ago and trained to read sheet music since last august / september :-)

Sorry for my english. My shool-english is 32 years old ;-)

  • @04penguin64 thanks a lot i really think the double stops version is really more difficult.Don 't worry for you good english i am french......oggy

  • you need to learn how to use the pick your left hand is good, but you right hand killed your cover. I'm sorry

  • Ooof. Very impressive, but the guitar is really out of tune!

  • @eyeball226 Thanks, yes i know the guitar is out of tune on the first take so you can watch the take 2 and 3, the guitar is not out of tune on the 2 following takes on this video best regards Oggy

  • @sonny72562 Thanks best regards from France

  • Man....you're a better man than I....That is a complicated song to learn! And thanks for slowing it down at the end brother....right on!

  • @Byrds1967 thanks friend, i did everything with my ears no tabs. exept the guitar sometimes out of tune on the first take i like it.

I would n't say i am a better player than you are, maybe different that all, for example i think i am not a very good rhytmyn player Best regards from Oggy France

  • Man....you're a better man than I....That is a complicated song to learn!

  • @Byrds1967 i made it first in single note but always the same guy was telling me it is bad you have to do it in double stops like the beatles did! But we have 2 harmonized guitars on the record, not 1 guitar in double stops!

So i was bored with this guy who never showed me what he could do with a guitar but i decided to do it in double stops and i can tell you it is very difficult to play....best regards

  • hey you can giveme your e-mail for mor information

  • i like how this ones more, uh, slidey!

  • @penandwhiteout thanks that 's my favorite too.....

  • tune up.

  • hi Oggy, thanks for the e-mail...i suggest the slowing down of the audio ( Audacity may do it) and showing everybody at half-speed first, so that people can absorb the changes more fully..afterwards you post them together to show the difference..your playing is tops but for the purpose of teaching try to see if at a slower speed more people can play along with you..check out my 'beatnik15 - blackbird' post showing everyone how to play blackbird by the Beatles..tell me what you think...cheers !

  • Yes you re right but i don 't know how to put 2 cameras on the same picture, in my opinion it is just a first step to help you with the video and you ears it will be ok, in leaned this song only with my ears no tabs thanks Oggy

  • Yeah, I had problems but I did it.

I made the tabs by myself looking at your video.

I think it sounds great, very similiar.

    Thanks for the video.

It's probably the only one teaching this song on YouTube.

    Bye!

  • I can barely see where you put your finger.

Next time, put the camera closer to the fingers and the strumming is important too.

It would be nice if you divided the screen in two.

    Just my opinion.

  • Is it true that your Fender 64 Strat Fiesta Red was overpriced

  • Thanks for your kind words about my guitar playing, Oggy. As for this video of yours, I watched it yesterday (before I received your message) - it's a great piece of playing and your strat tone is excellent. Good exposition, too.

  • Rock On Oggy!

  • Hey, you're quite inspiring and talented. I'm a lifelong beatles fan, and now an oggy fan also. and your guitar can sing! thanks, alo

  • Thanks everybody

  • Very good lesson!

    Thank you and your strat!

  • BRAVO OGGY...! Très très gros boulot sur ce double stops... beaucoup de courage pour s'attaquer a ce genre d'execice.... 5* et ce n'est pas suffisant...!

  • Very good. You're making it too difficult though. That part is played with two harmonizing guitars, not double stops.

  • That's it! Awesome job. This is the most accurate cover I've ever heard. What amp are you playing through?
