I knew a guy who ran a early 80's Volkswagen POS (no badges, missing registration plate, prolly a Rabbit) in a NorCal event. He drove that thing like a bat out of hell though. Too bad it blew like a side-by-side after the 5th lap, but it prolly saved him from the People's Curse. :P

Thats it? I think Top Gear's killing a Toyota Hylux was worser than this, and they weren't trying to kill the car on purpose!! At least set it on fire!! it's cheep to do and easy to clean up

This was a race that all teams voted this car to break the rule of spending more than $500 on their car and maybe the way they were driving was part of it as well, but all who enter the race have the chance to be voted to be destroyed. So People's Curse means you are the one this race to be demolished! The machine operator actually did an entertaining job in the destruction of a very fast car!
