first thing i would like to say: its not the bike, it's the rider. second off: put both machines on some surface with good traction, lets say, oh, i dont know. maybe the start line of an mx track (and maybe put a different rider on the bike) the little r/c would lose. if that was me on the bike, i could stomp the shit out of the baja. just sayin'.

Of course a RC car can keep up with a dirt bike no worries its not carrying the weight the bike is (this isnt a negative comment). The Baja as admireable power reguardless, i see them race all the time when i race my 8th scale and now contemplateing on buying a Baja :). One pull of a finger on a controller takes less time than hitting the throttle and dumping the clutch.

@progameruk1 Ok, first off a 250f has a lot more bottom end than a 125, a 125 just has less curve in its torque, And they're no way an 80 or a 125 can move faster than a 250f because an 80 is about 150cc in 4 stroke and a 125 250cc. If a 125 has the same converted displacement, a 250f will clean its clocks because of more bottom end. I have a RM250, RMZ250, an old CR125, and my brothers CR80. I would know I've ridden all of them.

this is so stupid. of course a 20 lb rc car with a lawnmower size engine will have crazy acceleration off the line, but if you looked at that 200lb honda with a 180lb rider, it flew by at the end of the race. you cant even compare the two. i love rc cars as well as dirtbikes, but you cant glorify a baja by putting it up against a four stroke honda. how about we line up that baja with james stewart on a 450? then we will see who takes the day.

I would have easily stacked up my little 12 pound stadium truck(a lot of aftermarket metal instead of plastic) up against a 250 2t without batting an eye. same with a 450. That little thing only had a 2.5cc motor or so. Still did over 60 from the factory. when i upgraded to the 3.6cc or so motor, that gave it enough grunt it could overcome friction and get to about 75...about the top speed of any 250cc MX bike out there. MX bikes arent made for top speed either. miss my rc car

@beachamboys11 a regeared one can. i am well aware of this. i have a yz250. when i put my gearing on there for speed before i went to flat river about a month ago, i had a friend clock me. 94 miles per hour. bone stock, a 250 will do about 75 miles per hour. there is no need for more. it is designed for short, technical tracks. not half mile long stretches where you can run it up to 120. they undergear them to give them quicker acceleration(needed leaving turns) instead of an unusable top speed.
