  • i love lolita its so cute someday i want to wear lolita to school^^

  • Comment removed

  • WOW, some of the comments on this video are absolutely appalling. Just shut the fuck up before you make yourselves look worse than you already have. Attempting to justify racism with pretty words and ideals - how pathetic and ugly. Remember, lolitas are supposed to be beautiful inside and out, but some of you are clearly lacking on the inside...

  • If i would wear that in my country i would probably get bullied and stuff like VERY rude.. ;x (West-Europe btw)

  • the very beginning was PAINFUL in headphones, lol. anyway you're so cute robin!! your friend too

  • @berenicegorda WTH!? NO! I don't understand why are you saying that. Please, if you think the style is stupid because you think this girls look stupid, CLOSE YOUR MOUTH AND SEE ANY OTHER VIDEOS! But don't call Lolitas stupid.

  • @NekoConneko me too

  • @phoobear331 I would move to Japan for that ^.^

  • I see dress forms in the background, do you go to a fashion school? If so I would love to go to that school and learn the art of lolita! I'm a fashoin major at Art and Design Highschool.

  • Cute video! It's just really awkward that a lot of the "related videos" are about sexy underage girls...Lolita fashion is adorable, but it would be really nice if people didn't automatically associate the word 'lolita' with 'sexy'. ;^_^

  • very cute!!! ... and I think Lolita is more about how you see yourself and much less about what others think...

  • really Adorable!! :3

  • great song! may i ask what it is please?

  • @sherkhanchan666 its called usagii by moon kana ^^

  • im not a big fanof aprons to cosplay i my opinion cute though

  • Love ur outfits!!!

  • I love your strawberry dress

  • The green one is so freaking adorable, but and the pink one is so hyperactive it makes me smile.

  • @LittleMissSweetieKat like me what a stupid girl xd

  • @koreangirl891 If you have to be asian why is the fashion based off of European Rococo/Victorian fashion?

  • @koreangirl891- i am japanese, And I know that lolita is based off european fashion.. so shut up. :D

  • @animalluver987 true but, lol you don't have to lie that you're japanese. as i look at how you look you're probably mexican/phlilpina/indonesian.. why should you lie about where you come from?

  • @xCheesu - im half japanese half american o.o~

  • @koreangirl891 The most perfect lolita I've ever seen is called Tempest Paige and she's not asian so shut your racist mouth.

  • heh...dreamiesweets on etsy is a good place to get lolita and other styles cheap...juuust sayin.

  • Lolita is an awesome fashion. Shut the hell up about everything else cause it doesn't matter.End of story.

  • Cute dresses, and the song you choose for the video is adorable. <3 Who's the artist?

  • @Torahamutaro13 I think it´s Moon Kana :3

  • @NanaMendozaTsukiyama Thanks. I love cute, catchy songs. ^-^

  • Um... I've been calling it Lolita for a while mainly because that's how I was introduced to it. So I fell in love with "lolita styles" and similarly I thought people who dress and live the Lolita lifestyle are called Lolitas. Because of this, I'll continue to say "I like Lolitas and Lolita fashion."

  • Japan is just another country. Lolitas came from it, inspired in the 18th century... I don't know why you put in the video japanese music...

I love this style... I don't know why, I never felt this with a "fashion"...

  • You girls are absaloutley adorable in my oppinion! dont care what others think of you. your very unique! keep it up!

  • How do they get the skirts so poofy?!!? 0_o

  • I like the girl in the green dress with the red cherries! I thinks she is really cute... is she single? Just asking! ^_^

  • @LittleMissSweetieKat

I don't act like they are facts. Everything in life is an opinion to me. look at my comment, I got 20 thumbs up votes. Which means my opinion is shared by other people. Lets have a look at wikipedia, it says:

Hypocrisy is an unconscious self-contradiction: a state of incongruence between one's professed beliefs and feelings and one's actual beliefs and feelings

So according to wikipedia you used the wrong word to discribe me.

  • @LittleMissSweetieKat

whatever. you your upinion, me mine.

  • @LittleMissSweetieKat

emo clothes don't exist. skinny jeans are mainstream, band shirts worn by anyone that likes that particular band. allstars are mainstream too. I don't see emo as a style, neither as a person and neither as a personality type. If you get called emo, it means people stick a label on you. If you call yourself emo, you try to be a label, which makes you a poser.

  • @LittleMissSweetieKat

It's like wearing skinny jeans allstars and bandshirt, looking emo does not make you emo, looking lolita does not make you lolita. Or at least I wouldn't go wear lolita and call myself lolita.

the lolita world is not always made out of lace, frill, ponies, kitties and shiney things, quite a few of them secretly talk trash about eachother. It's kinda sad that people don't always look at peoples personality, but judge them by appereance. Honestly I sometimes do too.

  • I thought the girl in green was so cute! I loved her outfit : )

  • haha i do that too xD ,techers always asking bout the bunnies and teddys on the blackboards..

  • The one in Black is soooooooo cute :3

  • you two are so CUTE!

  • I believe you meant "people should accept themselves for what they are" No matter how "beautiful" a person looks, no two people's opinion on beauty is the same. It is a matter of opinion. And cosmetic surgeries are typically for cosmetic purposes... thus the name.

  • @SuperLoli101

ofcourse everybody has a different opinion about beauty, and I also believe people should accept themselves for what they are. For example, you say you have a tan skin and you like lolita, others might say because you are not pale skinned, you can't be a good lolita (which I disagree with) that doesn't mean you should bleach your skin to make yourself more beautiful to others.

  • @xKyochan That's just what people's first impressions are when they think about "porcelain" dolls. Though it's not about being pale-skinned. Real lolitas strive for flawless, natural skin. Which is why my group of lolita friends and I frown upon heavy makeup usage and rather take care of our skin with natural ways like eating lots of veggies and drinking plenty of water and modest amounts of makeup to hide blemishes.

  • @xKyochan And I'm not sure whether it has Japanese/asian roots because Japan, Chinese, and Korean traditional beauty will consist of fair skin for the ladies. And since Lolita IS from japan, the fair-skin thing might have that in there. But yeah. It's not about looking pale. It's about making skin looking brighter :) Michellephan made a lolita video though it's more for cosplay purposes, but she explains the foundation usage very well. Check it out when you have the time :)

  • @WiggaMachiavelli Who said dark skin doesn't fit? In the bible book? I failed to see that. "Negroes"? I am pretty sure that was a racist comment yes the east Asian one as well. I may. Not be black as a car but I am black, and fuels apply to clothes not looks I sorta agree to the weight but, it's their life.

  • @22storm44

Perhaps the fact that it's something of a pseudo-reactionary fashion movement which emphasises a return to conventional Japanese aesthetics (which promote light skin as "beautiful") might have a bit to do with it...

The term "negro" is not a racist term - it is neither inherently offensive nor intended in such a way. The word is a useful descriptor which evokes a clear image of a particular group.

  • @SuperLoli101 I agree, I am black and I wear lolia, I actually get good compliments and a few odd stares but it's good.

  • @22storm44 xDD You sorta get used to the stares after a while xDD But yeah... I mean Obesity - the person has control over it; all they have to do is lose weight (and it's benefitial to their own health as well) because it's not all just about looks, obesity can cause many problems later on, especially for the ladies out there...

  • Where can I find a super cute dress like that!!! I sooo want to go like that to my next school dance, or out to the mall wearing a lolita outfit! Sooo cute!

  • What I miss? :D And Sure... I agree obesity should not be present in lolita fashion... but... um.. to criticize skin colour... that's just a bit extreme for me o.O

  • @SuperLoli101

people are the way they are. you should accept that.

  • @xKyochan You can keep saying that. But if that was really the case, cosmetic surgeries would be nonexistant.

  • @SuperLoli101

you're not the reason people get cosmetic surgery. I think cosmetic surgery for any other reason then medical is bullshit/crap/onzin/scheisse

  • i think this is funny because of all the people argueing about what is or isnt lolita, or if lolita even exists. heehee......

  • Wow~!!! Interesting comments about lolita~

  • @u4838

your movie is cute and so are your and your friends clothes. Keep rocking the style <3

  • @LittleMissSweetieKat Unfortuately, "beauty" is a set term and you can see that in what people strive through. This is why people wear makeup and strive for flawless skin as that is what they consider beautiful. And know the difference between "criticism" and "opinion". My opinions are my own. Whether you agree with me or not. And yes, I know I'm a very critical person. And it's pretty interesting how you've been repeating the same thing over and over again. :)

  • @LittleMissSweetieKat

There will always be people criticising Lolita fashion and unless you've been in this fashion for as long as I have, I doubt you'll truely understand it. So next time you attempt to start an argument, at least research it so you wont appear a fool. :)

  • @LittleMissSweetieKat

Homina quote Honest Abe here, even if it is a bit clichéd:

"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

  • @WiggaMachiavelli I LOVE that advice. :) It's going in my Quote of the month calander :D <3

  • @LittleMissSweetieKat Because I have seen terrible ones during the last lolita gathering here in California that I had privately hosted for my friends from Japan. Of course, I did a bit of publicity-like things on Facebook and Myspace and people dare pass off a tutu for a lolita dress etc. I had the displeasure of greeting a 300lb chick in a tutu... And frankly, obese people cant fit into lolita dresses anyway >.>" In short, Personal experience. :)

  • @LittleMissSweetieKat

Conglaturation! You win a Gold Medal for Not Understanding the Reference.

    P.S. Google is your friend.

  • I wish my friends could be this cool...instead they are more like the comments below...

  • love the outfits!

  • am usagi tehe

  • do you think wearing sweet lolita in gr.7 is too young?

i'm thinking of wearing occasionally.... :/

  • @StrrawberryBunny im in 7th grade too i rather wear a gothic lolita but sadly my mom wont let me she thinks its to weird

  • @koshime1 ikr...but my dad wont approve :P

  • @StrrawberryBunny but also i think skorts r comfterable and they could look like a dress with the right shirt

  • @StrrawberryBunny YOUR A YOUNG GIRL!! THATS WHAT THE STYLE IS BASED OFF OF. GO FOR IT GURRRLLL!! (sorry caps lock)

  • @shadowoftheday45 ya i agree but the bad part is tht ppl will stare

  • @koshime1 people will stare no matter what you're wearing because people will always be people. ^^ If you care so much about how they look at you you'll end up cornered. So long as you dress decently, you have nothing to worry about. ^^

  • @akissy THNX hahaha honestly its not tht i care so much cause i have my friends but sometimes its awkward but thnx for the advice

  • what is the name of the song in your lolita girls in school video?

  • lol

  • Lolita's don't wear stripped stockings nor aprons. The shape of the skirt is right, but it's a bit too long, and they don't wear sleeve-less tops... -w-UU It's not hard to get it right people...

  • i want one so so much but i dont know stores in finland where i can buy them :/

  • i want one!!!

  • あぁぁぁぁ~~ かわいいね!!!

  • Cute! Cute! CUUUTE!!! What song is this, it's cute, too.

  • nice!! but i think all are too tall for loli...

  • Guys, seriously, just shut up with the rude comments about how you think people should look. It's their own choice, even if they are doing the fashion wrong or not, it's NONE of your business and its certainly not your choose to decide who should wear lolita or not!

  • @DazzieMetallikat

If they have freedom to dress as they choose, I have freedom to express my thoughts on it. And at that, they can mutilate the Lolita style all they want - but once they do, it is no longer Lolita. Capisci?

  • I don't think I've seen anyone dress in lolita as an actual fashion style.

  • @westnyorai itd be nice to see more in the US

  • can you please tell me what song that is?... Thats very interesting... I would like to know what band or artist that is.... thank you...

  • @ryanw1401 It's moon kana, a very cute singer!!!

  • ugly girls! Lolita??????

  • eee soo cuteeee

    wats the sonng

  • @mariebunnehh It's "Usagi" by Moon Kana.

  • Dammit ii wish ii was asian :( They r beautiful

  • gee...wish i could dress like that at school. but no...my parents want me to dress "mature" and "appropriate". its not like im dressing in mini skirts and low cut tank tops! i really wish people would be more open minded so i could wear my lolita, visual kei, and other cool atire outside of my bedroom. you girls are so cute in those dresses!

  • @xxXMoonXChildXxx I know right!! They say it's much too formal and that wearing it in public makes them look like bad parents, and gives me a bad reputation!! I'm so obsessed with becoming one, I'm having dreams I'm a lolita! And boy, my brother and sister aren't happy about the style either :(

  • @FuzzyLittleWolf12 exactly! glad somebody relates to my situation!!!!

  • @xxXMoonXChildXxx aww I know what you mean I already got one dress and one blouse without my dad knowing and you should not care what people think about you just be yourself and have fun with the fashion Lolita Fashion is for everyone even you :)

  • @xxXMoonXChildXxx O.oU Why do you give two cents about what your parents think? It's not like they are gonna rip the clothes off you. If you sit down and explain to them in a mature way that it is what you like and they should respect it I think they will understand.

Then again I'm way too strong-willed and open about my likes and dislikes and my parents have understood everyone of them perfectly.

  • I love their dresses! ugh, I want to wear that so much!

  • Now THIS is why i love the Japanese. They're sense of style is so unique and bold, unlike your typical, boring Canadian, American fashions ':P If more people here were bold enough to dress like that, or any way that's outside the norms, then the world would have much more spice and color :)

  • @LolGurrl91 haha you only find American/Canadiqan fashion boring cause you see it everyday. but you do know in Japan, they wear a lot of American clothes. trust me, there's a crap load of American stores there (like Forever 21, American Apparel, Diesel, Banana Republic, GAP, skate brands like Volcom, and of course Nike)

  • not sure quite what race i am but i wish i was japanese!

  • awwww. i have lolita clothes but i dont really wear them outside....i should tho.

  • @WiggMachiavelli

you are not the boss of me to say olny asian people can wear lolita in paris lots of people wear lolita it the love you have in LOLITA(respect)

    LOLITA LUV

  • @fennyluvhellokitty

I'm just saying that it is a great insult and indignity, to both the inidivudual and the fashion, for lolita clothing to be abused by those of inappropriate physical configuration.

  • @WiggaMachiavelli Then you should say it like that. There's loads of non-asian peopel who wear lolita and look beautiful, but there's also a lot of japanese girls who don't know how to wear lolita and still do. It's a matter of knowing the rules and applying them, not of what race you are.

  • @akissy

When the "rules" are designed to make the style look right, and that largely depends on physical appearance, then having physical characteristics that do not suit the style large breaches the "rules".

  • @WiggaMachiavelli I've been a lolita for three years, no rule in any place has said you have to be a specific race, nor have a specific appearance to be Lolita, so no, it's not a rule.

  • @fennyluvhellokitty

Furthermore, the fact that lolita clothing is seen as terribly inappropriate on all but some very specific circumstances in Japan seems to be largely overlooked by "lolita enthusiasts" abroad; it is not socially acceptable to wear unconditionally.

  • @WiggaMachiavelli Ummm... also... Go look at Innocent World, they don't use Japanese models, they use what seem to be European or American models... So IW isn't Lolita because they don't use Japanese models...? Really, you need a reality check up ASAP.

  • @akissy

They do use Japanese models. Just not exclusively. Not to say it's not a Lolita brand, but certainly their choice of models could be better in some cases.

  • @WiggaMachiavelli Actually Innocent World is a Classic Lolita brand, together with Mary Magdalene. If you don't know that, which is common knowledge, how can you comment anything about Lolita? And they use European models almost excursively (I've seen a pretty blonde girl most of all, but also a brunette), and I've seen only one Japanese girl so far.

  • @akissy

I reckon I pretty clearly said that I wasn't denying the brand's Lolita status. Just saying I don't agree with some of their choices in models. Seems like I do know "that, which is common knowledge" - maybe you're dyslexic?

  • @WiggaMachiavelli Yes, I am, and I'm sorry I misunderstood. Sometimes I forget to read twice a statement. And Don't use dyslexia as a sarcasm remark, it's very dangerous to have it and be careless about it. I've been about to die before for reading stuff backwards, no lie.

  • @akissy

I wasn't being sarcastic - I was genuinely concerned as to whether your failure in reading-comprehension could, in fact, be attributed to some such condition.

May I assume your deleted comment to be officially retracted?

  • @WiggaMachiavelli Lolita is NEVER seen appropriate in Japan. Xd I agree opnly on that with you: Having Japanese friends, I know for a fact that Japan isn't the place where everyone is free minded. But it IS the place where people are polite enough not to shout it at you in the face. ^^

  • @akissy

But they'll try to pretend you don't exist, and look at you like an alien when they think you're not paying attention. It's not "being polite", it's "Oh no, I don't want people to see me having anything to do with that weirdo".

  • you're all very pretty! :3

  • NOT REAL LOLITA BECAUSE IT ISN't JAPANESE.

  • @WiggaMachiavelli

eum lolita is based from the rococo / victorian area (french)

so actully anyone can dress lolita...

  • @japemoxxsmekyxx

"Influenced by" does not equate to "is". Lolita is a Japanese style, and should not be abused by non-Japanese.

  • @WiggaMachiavelli I don't know if I'm just feeding a troll here, but I'd like to point out to anybody who actually believes that only Japanese people can only wear lolita that that is utter bullshit. Just because something originates from somewhere doesn't mean only the people from the place it originated in can use it. If that were the case, the world would be so backwards from where we are now it'd be ridiculous. So, why do you think only Japanese people can wear lolita, anyhow?

  • @Kiabolo

They invented the style, they do it best. Same deal with cosplay (although other East Asians can sometimes manage, but that goes for Lolita too, a bit). Same deal with American negroes and hip-hop music (with, yet again, very few exceptions in the case of a few successful white and Hispanic rappers). Do you see what I mean? So, Lolita is a thing for the Japanese, that the Japanese tend to do best, and while there are some exceptions, this is assuredly not one of them.

  • @WiggaMachiavelli Why is it that because the Japanese invented the style, it is automatically assumed that they're the best at it? While there are a lot of itas (and if you don't even know what that is, you have no right to be talking about who should and who shouldn't be wearing lolita) in America, there are just as many in Japan. Just because an idea or concept starts somewhere, doesn't mean it can't be taken elsewhere, or even improved, especially in this age of information and communication.

  • @Kiabolo

I'm not assuming, I'm speaking from experience. I've never seen a non-Jap lolita that was more than half-decent. Sure, I agree that if the Spanish suddenly had an explosion of lolita popularity, and some Spanish people started doing it really well, then it would no longer "belong" to Japan. But, that hasn't happened. Nobody's done it better. Thus, it's still Japan's, and unless you know you are going to do it damn well, you shouldn't try.

    ((lol)"ITAS" is a stupid term)

  • @Kiabolo Not to mention teh fact that Japanese use American clothing... So because they are American, they shouldn't wear it? Go take a HUGE look at the Kogal movement. It's all about California Valley Girl look... Wigga is being ridiculous, isn't s/he?

  • @WiggaMachiavelli Lolita is based off Rococo fashion and Victorian fashion so you can't really say "Only japanese people can wear this because it's their fashion"

It's clothes, anyone can wear them. Some people will look good in them and some won't, what nationality you are has nothing to do with that.

  • @MilkyMico

It has Japanese origins and so, while everyone is physically capable of wearing them (well, almost), I think it's best for them not to do so. After all, the fact that the modern trend is tailored towards the Japanese aesthetic suggests that Japanese and similar-looking people will look best in Lolita clothing. I would rather not see something I appreciate defiled by bad-looking people, and people who are not Japanese and do it almost always look bad, so I think they shouldn't wear.

  • @WiggaMachiavelli so what if it "originated" in japan? Its fashion, and fashion doesnt discriminate. I have a dream that one day in the red hills of Georgia gothics, lolitas, nerd, and jocks will come together at the table of freedom of expression. I have a dream that my gothloli black american friend will live in a nation that wont judge her or mock her for wearing something that "clearly" was intended for petite, almond- shaped eyed, fair skinned girls.

  • @WrappedInRain

How dares a nigger to defile,

    The marvellous lolita style?

Knowing who the clothes should fit,

Will stop them from being treated like shit.

    Dreams of hippy-love-fests may,

    Brighten up your boring day.

    Just rconsider as you dream,

If all the world is on your team.

tl;dr I have my opinion, and my opinion is that the lolita style should be dignified. Peace and harmony be damned, I want my sense aesthetics looked after, and I will damn well complain if it's offended.

  • @WiggaMachiavelli Oh dude she dares..she soooo dares!!! cuz she is one cute nigger!!! The clothes fit as long as they are the correct measurements and are not made of velvet. Velvet is a no-no when wearing lolita but im sure you knew that ;)By the way my asian friend also gets treated like shit for wearing her lolita attire. Its not the person wearing the dress that brings out the hatred but the aesthetic bafoon!!! u are intitled to your opinon but it doesnt mean it right, but thats my opinion

  • @WrappedInRain

    Cute like a monkey, right?

  • @WrappedInRain

Velvet is a no-no? Oh dear...what's with "Puppet Circus" for example? And a lot of moi-meme-moitie? That's not Lolita? :)

For me a lot of this stuff just looks like Cosplay. Those aprons...

Dunno, guess you can wear aprons in OTT sweet, but this looks just...wrong.

  • @ThePixieTinkerbell Actually, that's right: MMM isn't Lolita. It's Elegant Gothic Aristocrat. ^^

And I agree with you, it does look wrong.

  • @WiggaMachiavelli i should really shut up, but concerning your nice prose the hippie although i think there great i dont care for them. a little to detached from reality, although my days are boring i solve it by playing jenga and drinking lots of cofee, a dream is a dream who gives a damn if ALL the world agrees with me that would be unrealistic. i agree to hell with peace and harmanoy wheres the fun in that. even now dont u just love our little feud?!

  • @WrappedInRain

Meh. I would be happier if you just sort of agreed that very few people outside of East Asia can pull off Lolita, and that the majority of people who try, fail, and wear it inappropriately.

  • Comment removed

  • @laika525 To clarify, lolita fashion was more based on Victorian children's clothing (along with Rococo and probably Edwardian) it's not "American" style clothing. And lolita is just clothes it does not favor any one race. With the right coordinating and makeup and hair, anyone can look beautiful in lolita. :)

  • @SuperLoli101 i never said they favor any specific race.its just that in my oppinion white & blk girls look better in it. asains usually look better than the other races when they dont wear lolita. its just my oppinion. and also my bad kinda...ur right its based on the victorian rococo and wutever eras but werent they in the 1800's? but the children clothing is slightly debatable ppl have said its based on victorian dolls.. i think its both... and prefer to think its based on dolls.

  • @laika525 Yes you would see dolls with such type of clothing but remember, French porcelain dolls (and German) which were very popular during the Victorian era (Jumeau for example) made dolls and clothed them with the most fashionable styles of the day. And rococo was in the 1700s. And my opinion on who looks good in Lolita is as long as they're not fugly and they're not fat/obese, then they should look fine lol.

  • @SuperLoli101

anyone is allowed to dress how they want. if you don't like seing ugly people in lolita, go stab your eyes out.

  • @xKyochan You seem to have misunderstood me. "Ugly" and "beauty" mean different physical features in different cultures. However, if a person cannot fully pull off Lolita because of their strict rules, yet they claim it is Lolita, I find it unsightly because it is just insulting for the real lolitas out there in the world.

  • @SuperLoli101

Real lolitas don't exist. Lolita is a fashion, not a person. The rules apply to the clothes and how they are worn, not the person wearing it.

  • @xKyochan "real" and "Posers" exist in every fashion/subculture. and it sorta does. Lolitas will typcially never swear because it it considered "inproper" for one.

  • @SuperLoli101

you think that it exist, but it only comes to subculture, not in fashion. For example, when a kid acts overly emotional to look emo, they are posers. If they wear fake allstars instead of real ones, that doesn't make them a poser even if they get called a poser themselves. You might think you're lolita, others might say you're not. You say lolita's never swear well why is there a community called loli_secrets and it's full of cursewords? lolita's are not the nicest people.

  • @xKyochan loli_secrets? LOL. never heard of them. :3 And I tend to stay away from communities like that (even EGL) because there's always people on those sites that claim they know what they're talking about and they're all a bunch of hypocrites. Lolitas are supposed to be sweet and nice. If they're not, it's usually because they're stuck up and probably one of those elitests that think they're super awesome for buying something from a brandname store. Trust me, all the years, I've seen them all
