the project ran for 7 months all up but we switched from CrystalSpace to Blender 3 months in.

So most of the game was made in around 4 months 3 full time, 3 or so part time.

that happens when your computer can't render the game. Try making everything on low. If that doesn't work then you should replace you grapghic card with a more modern one or buy a new computer.

I played it and it has some crazy graphics. My computer was kind of slow for it (2.2 core2duo, 2gb ram, 128 mb nvidia graphics) but thats probably b/c the game isnt optimized for speed. More for showing the ability of using open source software. Maybe Ogre3d was a better choice than crystal space, but then it would require much more work.

Still the game has some really nice textures and some crazy scenary. It looks more than professional.

I love Yo frankie but I've never gotten it to work on my linux PC. For some reason the game is convinced I've a joystick pluged in and If I plug one in it thinks there is two (one for each player)

I should go into the .blend and disable joystick control but I'm so damn lazy ;-P
