Especially the '64 T-Bird -- the back shot of the maroon T-Bird at :37 to :42 is stunning, the '71 Trans Am, and the '65 Shelby.

To the no-nothing re comment claiming Mustangs are femme -- marketing was designed to include females, and so what. Mustangs, like all US roadster pony cars, are fine cars. Best thing about Fords and Buicks is the seating position -- driver sits a bit higher, and visuals are excellent, which, for road use, is extremely valuable.

@Guitar101Smasher That's why I made the exception of the shelby's. The 5.0L Shelby GT is the ONLY mustang that could hope to qualify as a Muscle Car...the rest are "sports cars" on a good day, and underpowered buckets that can't turn (or drive in the rain) on every other day.

@kcollins7492 Challenger is the same thing as the Cuda, I'd take a Mustang before a Camaro. Mach 1, Boss 429, they made a few muscle versions, GT had 390 under the hood. Crappy Olds 442 was too heavy, so was the Gran Torino tank, Stingray is one word, it's a sports car category.

Where is the tri-power GTO? Stage 1 Buick 455? 426 Hemi, 440 six pack cars? 409 Impala? AMX? You missed a lot of the true muscle cars because it's before your time probably. 1963 through 1970 is about it.

Interesting list. Great pictures. Would not think that there should be a car younger than 1970 on the list. Gran Torino would be a stretch on a top 25 list but a 1970 Torino Cobra could make it. Strange Mustang selection. Boss 302 or Boss 429 perhaps or an older Shelby. Just one guys thoughts.

Sorry, The woody,Thunderbird & Gran Torino are not "muscle cars" The #1 was a "pony" car (some later stang's were muscle cars) Your list has left out some real American Muscle cars. Hemi Cuda, 454 Chevelle, GTO etc.
