I think you were caught in some kind of time warp worm hole or something. Alonso is Greek and McLaren always launches it's cars in Italy next to Ferrari's HQ. They put on this huge show with they silver cars just to piss them off. About the voices, it's defniately Spanish tourists traveling Greece and Italy.
