J.J. connelly released a sequel to this book. I'd like to say, for the people that don't think a sequel is possible think again. Its not clear why he did it, but I dont think Tammy was his girlfriend, I think it was cause he killed his uncle, and that he was jelous; a mix of revenge and jelousy...

the only bit i didnt like at the end, after watching it like 100's of times is the music. i mean with a scene like that all you need is the exact right lyrics and tune to be heard for it to be amazin... i know others like it i just think it could have been done slightly better

That said im a Royal Marines Commando and even with todays assault rifles such as the US M-4 and British SA-80 the 5.56mm round often requires multiple hits to kill. 9 times out of ten it tumbles inside the body and causes massive injuries that takes several people out of action to look after the casualtie. Desired effect.
The ending does leave it open. But the point is, like Get Carter & The Long Good Friday, to which Layer Cake gives a big nod in a couple of scenes. The "hero" cops it in the end. You could have a sequel to The LG Friday and Layer Cake, but by doing so you would take away a huge chunk of what made the first film so special.
What ticks me off about the end is that that little piece of shit shots him after he helped him get on that boat when the "cops" were after them, what a worthless scumbag

Something like-He's not dead. he wakes up in hospital,after being shot,has nothing,no money no girl and decides to get revenge and BANG there goes a blockbuster he gets revenge,gets girl back and happy end,damn I would love that,and I know,that most people would too.
