im gonna need to get a newer videogame system so i can play these cool old games (ironic). The NES version of Pinbot is very fun but seems like an entirely diferent fame from the real version.
...AND, I will also say this - IF you ever got over 10 million+ points on this (Arcade or game console version), YOU ARE A MASTER!!! as I did get over 10 million on the NES version on many but few occasions.
@undurrrdog1 the rule sheets are called instructions here and are very detailed and narrated. There are differences btwn this and FX but there is really no reason you shouldn't enjoy it.
@ seafireliv - defitnalty cheaper then the 3k+ it would cost to buy this machine. I mean on the secondary market you could get this game, and an xbox for < 250$
Is this game worth compared to PBfx2. Ive owned Fx 1 &2 and love them dearly, but Im considering this buy as it has classic tables I'll never get to play. Just curious on playability because FX is top notch in my book. Does this have rule sheets, view change, operaters menu? I'd really appreciate input from somone who has played both this and Fx2 or at someone who owns this game and like real Pins. Please help me I can't decide.
@Undurrrdog1 I don't know what the hell rule sheets are, there are multiple view styles available both at the launch of the ball and during play, also don't know what an operators menu is.
The machines aren't perfectly faithful to the machines, so if you're looking for something true to the original, don't look here. If you want to play them despite the flaws here and there then go right ahead and get it, it's not bad if you like genuine tables based straight off the real machines.
WAIT - don't forget - it was on the ORIGINAL 8-bit NES system as well, which I can proudly say that I still have that bad boy here at home with pin-bot.
@seafireliv You are going to have to get a console to play it or find a real machine. I spent a lot of time actually looking for this for my xbox because it seems to be out of print now, but I DID find one eventually. I played this pinball game back when I was a teenager so when I found it for the console I HAD to have it. The physics are almost to the real thing, the side drain ball saves don't work is the only difference I found, although an annoying difference.
It might have to be an Xbox game, I guess. Not really into buying a whole console just for this, but it would be worth it. Perhaps if I can afford it I might just buy the whole pinball machine one day!
@Pow3rus Dolphin Wii emulater? Hmm, I`ll have to take a look, but what ashame they never bothered putting this on the PC as many of us older gamers will have PCs and remember this game from the arcades. Shame really.
@TheCheezWizz You realize, I hope, that more people have probably played the NES game than the real thing. So when they see a Nintendo video game of Pin-Bot, that's what they think of - the NES game, flaws and all. Sure, they probably -know- it's a real pinball machine, but without ever having seen it or played it in the real world, what else can they possibly do but compare Game A to Game B?
TL;DR - You're acting like a pretentious jerk to people who haven't played or seen the real table.
@Trystera No, I told him exactly what I told him. That it's ENTIRELY DIFFERENT. Notice how 1989gamemaster isn't offended and you are? YOU'RE A FUCKING CRAZY PERSON GETTING WORKED UP OVER DISCUSSIONS THAT DON'T INVOLVE YOU.
Now maybe if there was a problem here and he took offense, maybe you would get a chance to join in. But you WOULDN'T. Because I already would have dealt with it a week ago and it didn't happen anyway!
That was excellent playing!! This takes me back to my childhood spending Saturdays at our AFB bowling alley after practice watching and playing this table. You are right to shake this table if the ball goes anywhere near the alleys. Even as young kid, I remember this one used to drain balls like a $10 whore! LoL the memories...
Great video I just ordered the game its great. Yes, the NES version was classic but those ghost were a pain in the behind... This new version is what you would get if you played in the arcade. For, some of us this was not possible since I was only 6 when this game came out in the arcade and 9 when it was out on NES.
no way u that good i only made it too 100,000 :(

@SAMMYJS991 The NES game is entirely different. Nobody has any business comparing the two.

This is EXACTLY the game I played in 1985! I loved this game, especially when I got it to open its eyes.
Is there a PC version of this anywhere?
seafireliv 1 year ago
@seafireliv Unfortunately no, just PS2, PSP, xbox 360, PS3, and wii.

@TheCheezWizz
That`s a real sad pity. Maybe when it`s viable I`ll get a 360 just for this. It was like going back 20 years when I saw that.

@1989gamemaster ...wow? the NES pinbot was entirely different from the real thing.
seriously, what the fuck, why is there a monster that eats your ball
TheCheezWizz 1 year ago 3
@TheCheezWizz It's probably Rare the game company that put a monster in the game. That never happen in real life playing Pin-Bot.

wow this is better than the nes pin bot game.
flyingpirogue1 2 years ago
uh... the NES game is based off the actual pinball table. This is a recreation of said pinball table.
TheCheezWizz 2 years ago
THe reason the nes version is better IMO is because theres a greater challenge. LIke the ghost eating the pinballs and the stages turning colors.
