Does anyone know how to get backstage or meet the band after a gig at the newcastle 02?

outside the stage doors at the back, met all the bands there. including one katy perry who dropped my goddamn phone and cracked it!

how do u get to the stage doors?

the doors are on Fenkle Street, which is immediately behind the academy (westgate road), theres 2 sets of black double doors down the length of the street. hard to miss.

ive got standing tickets for the first New music we trust gig next week.

Has anyone got any tips on how to get into the standing bit with a seated ticket?

you need at least 2 people you know standing, get them to both go into the standing bit first, then one needs to stay in there while the other goes back into the foyer with both standing tickets in hand, and gets you in with that other standing ticket.

The sound quality at the Newcastle Academy doesn't get much better than that unfortunately.

Good performance though. Hopefully she'll play The Sage or City Hall next time.
