Look man, Kiss are talented musicians, and the reason they are not in the rock and roll hall of fame is because the rock and roll Hall of Fame is a small-club and who gets inducted is decided by like ten persons ( not the people ) everyone wants Kiss in, because ten people are thinking just like you do. Same thing for Rush, Yes and Deep Purple.... But, you are right... Deep Purple, for example, have nothing to do with RnL... ;)

@BruceKulick Try writing an Abba-like song. Kiss wrote mind bogglingly simple tunes, the majority of which were very derivative. I teach guitar to kids and even the beginners can pick up most of the Kiss catalog. You're forgetting that they're mainly a nostalgic act at this point. At the height of their fame, they appealed primarily to kids. I actually like Kiss and grew up listening to their music. Abba may not be your cup of tea (or mine for that matter) but as song writers they were excellent

@ritter89 Of course they are, they broke a lot of selling records and stuff, and I know Kiss is simple, I teach guitar too and I am studying music at the university, but the point is that ABBA is not a Rock And Roll band at all and they don't deserve to get inducted in the ROCK AND ROLL Hall of Fame. Secondly, Kiss may be simple, but the thing is that in popular music, you have to keep it simple, so it can sound like thunder. Kiss was simple, but they are a real band that produce quality music.
