Those big dirt floor rooms in the center of the Abandoned Mineshafts which you call "Boss Rooms" are actually the starting points from which the terrain generation generates the mineshafts. The more you know :)

Brian, in a pinch, your axe is a reasonable choice as a weapon. It does less damage than a sword, but more damage than a pickaxe, shovel, fist, or block. If your sword breaks in the middle of a fight, I suggest getting your axe out.

I love these episodes when you are just doing the usual stuff and making fun of the mobs, playing hide and seek with them and kill them, and after a while they blow up in you'r face when you are unprepared...

if you want more chance of spawning try spread down some lava along the edge to killl of some mob and let new one spawn more chance for enderman

In an emergency situation use the axe, Diamond axe does as much damage than an iron sword. Sometimes I don't even build swords since the axe fills two roles for me, saving me a hotbar slot and an inventory slot. The only real downside is the lack of blocking ability.
