i've been watching this show since it started, i've never watched show that just gave me a roller coaster of emotions. I loved it and im sure a lot of people did. the ending totally shattered me, I couldn't think straight for days i mean....why...just why? i mean imight be a bit over dramatic here but why end it like that? why would you just flush 4 years of prison break down the toilet and destroy what we fans were waiting for..michael and sarah being happy together. the endingcame outof no wre
i hate the fact that they ended it that way (to michael scofield, i mean) but i think if there's a season 5, it will be like dragging a story that is already finished. seasons 1 and 3 are, i think, the best ones. seasons 2 and 4 were exciting too but not as much as seasons 1 and 3. but anyway, the show's maybe short-lived but it's one of the best. one of the most unique shows ever created for tv and i will never regret watching it again and again... :)

Season 1 was perfect. Season 2 was great. Season 3 was good. Season 4 was still entertainment, but they went crazy with all the storylines. I just watched all 80 episodes! It was great!!! I cried like a baby on episodes 79 and 80. The writer of this show (OMG) this was a masterpiece. I LOVED micheal, linc, t-bag, sucre,mahone, and beloch. They were my absolute favorite. Ieven cried when Beloch died. Please o please do something else with this group of actors!!! It's incredible how Schofield always put others before him even in the worst of times. I have never seen myself root for the "good guys" as much as I did in this show. Every time they outwitted the company I would literally find myself cheering for them.

Well in season 1 the psychiatrist did mention that he had a tendency to care about others more than himself. I think it's interesting and amazing that the writers created an ending referencing something that was mentioned fairly off-handedly. It seems like this could have foreshadowed his death and so even though a lot of people (including myself) were sad to see Scofield die like this, it's nice to see that the writers knew there characters so well, as to be able to formulate exactly what each

Life is not all happy endings and im glad some producers actually have the guts to make their endings a bit more sad since usually its some disgusting happy all good ending that doesnt even fit into the story

Well its kinda like how the first season of 24 ended (the ending that was official).
Jack Bauer stopped the badguys and saves senator Palmer, but his wife died and his life more or less ruined. It made for a VERY dramatic but powerful ending, not entirely sad and not entirely happy, but more in the middle...just like life.
Mind you that im talking about the FIRST 24 season here and not the rest, though good they are not nearly as brilliant as the first one.
Micheal scofield was a great person probably the best on this show and every time i see this i just try not to cry but at the end i always do and just like wenom12345 prison break has had such an impact on me prison break will definitely be missed good bye prison break :(

This really is a great ending to the series, but bitter sweet as well. It sends such a strong message to the viewer regarding love for others. Although, the show is, indeed, fake, it is powerful in itself. I loved the series, and we all wish that it DID end with a happy ending, but it would leave us no other feeling, than compassion for the series. With this ending, it gives us hope in a sense, for Linc and Sarah, and Michael's son. Well directed, encore.
I have never cried over a TV show as much as I have watching Prison Break. I just finished watching Prison Break The Final Break and I just can't stop crying :'(. I can't believe it had to end this way and that it's over.

Sarah went to Prision for killing Michael's mum, yes she was exonerated in the 4th series but this "final break" is an alternative ending. You dont see Michael die, yes its true the Company could keep him alive in some way to keep the story going but thats not going to happen as Fox doesnt want to make a 5th season. Even tho they said there's still a chance there going to be making a prision break project a few years down the line. :)
@SkiStyleAP its not an alternative ending, it was to explain the "four years later" part of the finale. she was not exonerated for the killing, she was exonerated for aiding the prison escape. i think i heard somewhere that "the final break" was originally supposed to be a couple of episodes, but was later turned into the movie when fox wouldn't air them.

@FaceTrueReality Dude, Scofield die. There are myths that say that he actually didn't die and goes away, but are just myths. They just don't want to accept that he die.
@ankur7753 Sofield intended to live at least for a little while. The issue was his plan to override the door didn't work so he had to sacrifice himself to get Sara out, which he was fine with because he was gonna die anyway. There were only a few options. One was he tries to get Sara out legally and Sara gets killed by one of the Bitch Cell bitches and then just dies after a terrible grieving process anyway. Another was he escapes with Sara to Panama, but that plan was a bust. Backup? Sacrifice.

Life is not all happy endings and im glad some producers actually have the guts to make their endings a bit more sad since usually its some disgusting happy all good ending that doesnt even fit into the story

@Soulless99 i know that life is not all about happy endings! but that's a TV Show, it would've been nice to have a nice ending, with everybody happy, it sounds cliché i know, but all those episodes just to make Scofield die, it doesnt make sense

Well its kinda like how the first season of 24 ended (the ending that was official).
Jack Bauer stopped the badguys and saves senator Palmer, but his wife died and his life more or less ruined. It made for a VERY dramatic but powerful ending, not entirely sad and not entirely happy, but more in the middle...just like life.
Mind you that im talking about the FIRST 24 season here and not the rest, though good they are not nearly as brilliant as the first one.

Micheal scofield was a great person probably the best on this show and every time i see this i just try not to cry but at the end i always do and just like wenom12345 prison break has had such an impact on me prison break will definitely be missed good bye prison break :(

This really is a great ending to the series, but bitter sweet as well. It sends such a strong message to the viewer regarding love for others. Although, the show is, indeed, fake, it is powerful in itself. I loved the series, and we all wish that it DID end with a happy ending, but it would leave us no other feeling, than compassion for the series. With this ending, it gives us hope in a sense, for Linc and Sarah, and Michael's son. Well directed, encore.

I have never cried over a TV show as much as I have watching Prison Break. I just finished watching Prison Break The Final Break and I just can't stop crying :'(. I can't believe it had to end this way and that it's over.
Prison Break is the first show where my emotions were totally out of control, damn, I'm gonna miss this show so much!

Sarah went to Prision for killing Michael's mum, yes she was exonerated in the 4th series but this "final break" is an alternative ending. You dont see Michael die, yes its true the Company could keep him alive in some way to keep the story going but thats not going to happen as Fox doesnt want to make a 5th season. Even tho they said there's still a chance there going to be making a prision break project a few years down the line. :)

@SkiStyleAP its not an alternative ending, it was to explain the "four years later" part of the finale. she was not exonerated for the killing, she was exonerated for aiding the prison escape. i think i heard somewhere that "the final break" was originally supposed to be a couple of episodes, but was later turned into the movie when fox wouldn't air them.

@ankur7753 Sofield intended to live at least for a little while. The issue was his plan to override the door didn't work so he had to sacrifice himself to get Sara out, which he was fine with because he was gonna die anyway. There were only a few options. One was he tries to get Sara out legally and Sara gets killed by one of the Bitch Cell bitches and then just dies after a terrible grieving process anyway. Another was he escapes with Sara to Panama, but that plan was a bust. Backup? Sacrifice.
