This reminds me when Tyrone Willingham was fired by Notre Dame. he recruited all those players and Weiss got all the credit, but his true colors showed when ND couldn't beat a D2 team. Turner Gill got gyped. Anybody who got to coach Auburn would have been great because of the talent that went there compared to Kansas. In football only, you can't compare Auburn and Kansas. Turner Gill has a poorly talented progam that he is tryiing to mold into a respectable program.

Chizik is doing good things at Auburn, so why is this a big deal? They want to paint the south, more specifically Alabama, as a racist driven region. Well you obviously can't come to that conclusion if 90% of the Auburn fanbase, which are ALL from ALABAMA, wanted to hire Turner Gill as their head coach. This was about politics and money. Pay Chizik next to nothing and retain the amount of control that they want over that program. Anytime a black coach isn't chosen over a white guy it is racist?
