i have a great copy on VHS ill dub it to disc and i dont know the format to use in posting it from disc to final place ..cutting it up in parts ..im a noob
love ya mickey;your great(est) actor playing a great hank chinaski.I can'understand why most people prefer factotum (Dillon'good,I like him,but the better, funnier movie is barfly!
mickey rourke rourkes acting was totally disproportionate and the script just a assortment of general themes bukowski wrote about... but at least as better as faktotum...
Yeah this guy doesnt know bukowski. Bukowski's writing is like a dream. Yes maybe be a drunken dream. But his writing is a collection of memories seen in a haze of smog from the city's dirty underbelly. Maybe thats what he meant about the assortment. Idk im just taking a shot in the dark here.
You really validate your arguement by ridiculing your oponents, thats mature, sounds reasonable to me. I do believe I said I was taking a shot in the dark, but I suppose you didn't read that part because you were too busy being pathetic by getting off by having a chance to prove someone else (on youtube of all places) wrong. Yeah you're really cool man. Hope it made your day. You really owned us all.
2. Its the year 2009, people have been writing books for centuries what hasn't been repeated at this point?
3. Took you a good month to write a comment back but I guess youve been busy being a cynical w****r. A line which also sounds like something bukowski or someone other unknown to me has said a million times before.
If it celebrates then it is some victory - don't put your life in the quest? Your faith in the quest? It is absolutely unavoidable - you have to live with your choices - you have to live with your expectations and your torture and god knows what the answer is! Can't deny the good times though. Peace.
Live your life and earn your damn scars. Stop identifying with regurgitated words you have never lived yourself and can never pretend to understand and earn your own. There is a whole different world of heartache in your own mirror and also a whole world of god knows what.We can all read books and go to college but how may are brave enough to experience?Am I judging you ? maybe but I am only asking you to do what I wish I would do my damn self
I like to think that if we could see what happened after the end of the movie, Henry would have lived on, frequenting the Golden Horn with Wanda at least once every 24 hours. Sometimes he would pay, sometimes she would, and sometimes he would fight Eddie. This would have continued for another ten years util Henry would have thrown in the towel. He lived life the way he wanated. No job, no money, no rent, and we were all back to normal. This is his song.
@anthonycotillo It's not from any book, I think. Bukowski wrote the screenplay, his first and his last, and then he wrote a book about writing the screenplay called "Hollywood", watch the film and then read the book, it's quite good, in my opinion. Take care.
this film is indreible, preciosa, but sad.

Hey Moron,
Bokowski was a tech consultant on the film so you do your research before you criticise

1) You are not my oponent
2) All your poetic expression stinks of university and regurgitating other people's lines as opposed to living.
3) I agree I missed your stab in the dark comment
4) Enjoy life and try not to end up a cynical w****r like me
