  • Well, this one should be finished by now & I hope to god that he hasn't crashed it. A plus point is the scale prop with three blades, something that a lot of good models lack & impairs

  • Labour of love . Good on ya.

  • Look'n good, Blue Box pilot?

  • God he makes it look like 1/6th scale! LOL

  • You must be gunning for a masters of Top Gun slot. Great job and true to life details like the hatch behind the canopy

  • 8 people fly ARFs. How could you dislike this, REALLY? Great job to your brother in law.

  • Wielki szacunek dla takich modelarzy jak PAN. Moje gratulacje.

  • great looking aircraft.looking forward to seeing the finished product.

  • Looking Good ! cant wait to see it in the sky.

  • Amazing details, mate!! :D Very well done!!! :D

  • it's like superscale spitfire and it looks just like the real thing! amazing!

  • Very impressed. I like how you've made you're own modifications as you've been going.

  • dot crash that beauty! good luck!

  • fucking cool cowling and everything real deal real talented

  • i hope u r an expert flyer. 7 months build. 1 second crash. good luck to u.

  • u should keep it white

  • Great model, well done looking forward to the completion video.

  • now that..... that! could fit a conley V12 in it, shame those engines are so expensive and hard to get hold of.

  • supermarine spitfire is rocks!!

  • jesus christ that is the finest looking plane i have ever seen and it ant even finished oh and yea spitfire are amazing they were a huge contribution in taking down the german bombers

  • can i see the plans

  • omg that is beautiful

  • did he say 75cc?!!!

  • Not for a 96" he didn't!!! Great plane... i'd say it was a 26-50CC

  • Beautiful.

The Spit has to be the finest looking plane ever built.

  • nice work dude!

  • beautifull man

  • Thats a very nice looking project keep up the good work.

  • Bloody good work mate. get that engine reliable because these bastards tip stall like you wont believe

  • it looks like its made of metal... is it?

  • nope balsa or plywood is what it looks like to me but not metal i know that for sure

  • Good question! In fact, the goal is to let the model look like the real one hence "scale". So if it does look like metal to you the builder has done a good job!

But in this video it is pretty obvious that it's no metal, but plywood, balsa and probably Epoxy/glass fuselage.

By the way, never thought you could be rated for a bad comment for asking a noob question like a lot are who don't have this hobby... weird...

  • simply an amazing aircraft, great work

  • i wish i had the skills and patience it takes to scratch-build somehting like this. awesome!

  • Compliments for your work a piece of art. I have build 1 10 me 163 comet, static. I don't dare to fly them ;-)

  • I take my hat off to you mate! Your dedication is first class. Wish I had the patience and skill! It also sounds like your wife is right behind you great stuff. However I would be too scared to fly the thing after spending so much time building it. Most of the clips I see are of hours of dedicated work ending up as matchwood! I wish you all the best with it and keep us all posted.

  • Yes, he is slowly progressing, engine has been run-in and working sliding canopy added, wings ready to be fiberglassed. Should have a new video clip update in coming months.

  • por que no lo vuela

  • this just has the makings of such a scale masterpiece,he seems dedicated to the scale aspect, I wish him all the best

  • Any more progress on the Spitfire ?

  • Any update on the build??!!! Keeping an eye on this but wondering where it is up to. Big project I know as my Clark Spitfire kit has not progressed at all for a LOONNGG time!

  • May I please ask what make of Kit is this Spitfire, I have looked a hanger9, CMP, World Models. But your Spitfire looks good!

  • I had a kit I bought from someone around the same size, certainly not as detailed as this one, and in the process of building it, I mutilated some of the fiberglass cowling with my dremel. That thing was hard to put together anyway. It was from a British manufacturer, and the instructions were terrible.

    Good looking plane!

  • Very Nice Plane. It was a fiberglass Fuselage right?

Another thing, if you haven't done so, DO NOT SHEET ANY CONTROL SURFACES.

  • Dam i acendentally posted this early.

The real spitfire had fabric over the metal surfaces to reduce the weight so the surfaces could still be moved at high speeds.

This will look much more scale.

  • very nice plane u said that the build time at the start was 7 months thats a lot of time and what a pretty looking spifire you have done a there great job best i have seen on yet , can u please tell me whats the best model make u can get when u are starting out on this type of thing because i dont know any thing about this , i would like something big but not the size of that like the length of the wing and so i can let it take of from the ground, not throw

  • Man this thing needs the Pegasus Engine ;(

  • Great video. Great work keep it up.

Is the spinner the flying one? It doesnt look a parabolik one but I doubt if youd overlook that. Superb.

  • great job !!! well done :! :)

  • How r u getting on with the spit?

  • pop off the toy pilots head and add a wireless camera..that would be real cool

  • Which kit is it?

  • Cool id love to see this fly. Bet it will look really good in the air

  • Any update on your build ? Love to see how your getting on ....

  • can you have your bother in law ssend me a video on how he made it to brysten duncan @ yahoo . com

  • how much did it cost to build
