  • lol

    double leg takedown

  • sweep the leg!!

  • Thats effin insane! So cool.

  • This kid is amazing. You would think that if you get a hold of his only leg, it's game over. Amazing Heart of a Champ this kid.

  • I was rooting for Anthony. Did he win?

  • @gilliamjf yeah, his hand was raised at the end

  • the reason y he's winning all these matches is because he has more muscle than any body in his weight class so because he's missing a leg if he had that leg he'd actually be in like the 150 175 weight class instead of 125

  • @Ajbadboy252 you try wrelsting with one leg i have one thats fucked up then youll see how it is its not an advantage at all

  • @Ajbadboy252 i didn't mean to take anything away from this remarkable young man I probably should had stated my comment different he obviously has skill but with all that muscle it makes it easier for him to control a smaller opponent

  • HE'S STILL AT A DISADVANTAGE BIG TIME

  • Hey ur a beast. Half of the people talking shit couldn't do the warm ups us wrestlers do!

  • Loved the story till I actually watched him. That's hardly wrestling. I think they should have to wear a prosthetic and weigh in with it.

  • this man is one of my heros

  • If he was a white guy with one leg , his one leg or size wouldn't be a factor. Sad people

  • Regardless of whether he has advantages or disadvantages I think this video should just be appreciated as an inspiration to everyone. This kid has a heart of steel to dedicate his life to become as good as an athlete he is no matter what obstacle he faces, and everyone should just appreciate that while watching it.

  • lol, Anyone that has ever wrestled knows for sure, that whom ever made that comment knows nothing about sports and certainly nothing about wrestling, and if there is a wrestler out there that thinks he had any kind of advantage, I will show you a loser wrestler!

  • robles has a good advantage just having one leg it limits the moves that can be used towards him and how low he gets makes it hard to shoot on him and the fact that he is probley the strongest guy in the 125 wieght class

  • what restraunt did he eat at before weigh ins? ... IHOP

  • @hokim101 right On ima wrestler and it takes alot to win witj 2 legs so he great

  • Try to walk or stand with one leg and see how hard it is to balance. Wrestling is about agility, power, and balance among other skills so I would say that what ever advantage he may have gotten is not significant. Anthony controlled his mind, his body, and that of his opponent which is the least of his accomplishments.

  • @hokim101 Well, if you've been walking with one leg since you were 3 then it's second nature.

  • If having 1 leg is a such a "huge" advantage and it is so easy, then why aren't all amputees national champion wrestlers? Wrestling is a skill that is developed in the mind, not your muscles, it only appears that way on the outside. Heavyweight wrestlers sometimes have to wrestle people that are 50 pounds heavier than them because the range for a heavyweight is larger. Many times, its not the biggest heavyweight that wins, but the one who outsmarts his opponent. Robles is a true Champion.

  • anthony actually has an advantage in wrestling. if he had his leg he would be much heavier, being forced to compete against bigger guys. without a leg he can compete against much smaller guys. he should be dominating since he's fighting smaller opponents.

  • @manashard Hmmm.. I thought about that too. I think the missing leg takes away 15 - 20 Lbs- Than he puts almost all of that weight back on as upper body muscle.. Benching 305 Lbs at his size is GREAT strength but then again missing 1 leg is a HUGE leverage/Teqnique issue. I watched as the guy from Utah wrestle him and he held it to 0 - 0 until the 3rd period. If your teqnique is good enough he has no more advantage as the next guy. Note how low he was to take away Robles shot at the legs.

  • @Mihanzia he will goo further in life than you..He has 1 leg..You have no brain... :(

  • Come one people, try going to your kitchen on one leg, much less going against some guy trying to kick you ass.. Was touched by this story on the radio today.. Way to go young man.

  • @silverbullet94 we're talking about wrestling here.. not trying to live the life which I guess its unfair for him.. :\

  • robles -- beasting it out like a boss

  • It's just incredible. He really got an heart of steel.

  • Wow to those of you making fun of Robles, fuck off, I wrestle and its already one of the hardest sports I've ever played. However, he may have an advantage being on one leg, but he still is short one leg that extra strength and explosiveness that he would have if eh did have his other leg. the fact that he gets out there and wrestles D-1 at a level most couldn't handle even if they had both legs deserves mad props!!!! good for you Anthony and to the haters, go fuck your-selfs b/c he is bad ass!

  • for the dislikers, go chop one or your leg off and tell me how it feels..

  • strength isn't that big of an advantage when you look at all of the moves he simply can't do without two legs

  • what does he do with his other sneaker?

  • 2 legs, 1 leg, the way he's grabbing that guy's ass makes it seem kinda homosexual anyways.

  • I will never understand how some people can read/watch an inspiring story like this and find something negative or insulting to say about it.

Good for you, Anthony Robles, go fight and win.....

  • it shouldnt matter if he is supposed to be a 150 pounder with both legs. technique beats strength anyday of the week. and one leg is a disadvantage look at all the front headlocks he could be put in when hes down on the mat. mad props to robles the 125 NCAA champ this year

  • @limpbizkitinbuffalo not true that extra leg adds weight and if you really watch people try to grab onto a leg and its not there

  • All u guys complaining about dis guys weight about him havin to be a 150 pounder you guys r dumb ur jus mad because he beats people and cause his black dam poor sports give da guy credit for even wrestling in da top level he could stay in special olypiks with people wit disabilitys but his up there with guys dat have two legs and guys dat r badass wrestlers

  • @kulikajr that hurt to read

  • @kulikajr

Are you serious? You're calling people dumb; look at the "words" you use, how you spell, and your one-long run-on "sentence." You're really funny, calling others dumb and using using "dis!!"

  • I'd be so confused on how to take a guy with one missing leg since I love cradles or leg riding....

  • The one legged wrestler has the best of all wrestlers he gos up against because no one gets to practice his style of wrestling. Wrestling has a lot to do with legs you sometimes need that leg to control the other guy or girl. Also he is a lot stronger

  • This guy is inspirational just to show wrestlers are some of the badasses mothafuckas out der

  • he has one leg, in no way is that an advantage. growing up he would have to train twice as hard just to get in a stance, let alone take a shot

  • i see all these "its unfair cuz he would weigh more wit two legs" its unfair that he was only given one leg when he was born, jus accept the fact that hes a great wrestler

  • Cool

  • yo, you work at ihop?

  • If he hed two legs he would just rape everyone!

  • It's unfair. He's strenght is for 45s+. Withouth the leg he weighs less.

  • @ivoriscrazy yea super unfair to have one leg...what a joke u are

  • @spankytdx Really? You think its fair? Can people double leg? Is he stronger than most 125s? Is he meant to be in 150 if he had his leg? And I was just stating the fact that without the leg he weighs less making him stronger for the weight class that he is in.

  • this guy is a BEAST!

  • his shooting form must be incredible, he doesn't even need an extra leg for leverage

  • I have his autograph! :D

  • holy shit at 1:13 i barrely notice he was misssing a leg dam hes fucking good!

  • Are wrestling coach talks about him all the time everytime someone complains

    Check out my videos

  • its insane how he finds balance off that one leg and uses it to drive.

  • but thats not an advantage, think of the moves he cant do, he cant hardly shoot, cant leg ride, or ride on top for that matter, cant do a stand-up. he teaches me not to complain and is 4x better than me with one leg

  • nah u wanna know a real inspiration look up

    little bill

on youtrube watch the thousands of video LITTLE BILL WOOO

  • @Sal1the1great

    wat are you talking about?

  • i see this guy at school sumtimes

  • HEART !

  • Anthony is one of my many insperations as a J.H. Wrestler and he makes me want to try harder and do my best so i can compare to him. Ardmore

  • That kids an animal

  • It wasn't me! It was the one-legged man!

  • go sun devils

  • BEAST, even Iowa wrestler couldn't handle Robles.

  • Charlie Falck has beaten him in the past, at least twice, but im not sure... Yeah Robles story is amazing (not sarcastic) but Falck has beaten NCAA champions, but to say he culdnt handle Robles, wen he defeated him twice already??? If you read WIN magazine i think it waz ther is a great story on Robles that I find great because it shows a WRESTLER overcoming hardship, But mad props to Robles cuz Falck is NO PUSHOVER!!! GO HAWKS

  • I believe you are incorrect sir.

These two have never wrestled before so Charlie Falck was not prepared for his different style of wrestling

  • haha, no my frend, I got my info from a W.I.N Magazine. Ther was a big article on Robles how he can do a mile on crunches, bench 300lb and it mentioned him wrestling and losing to Falck

I'm not taking any credit from Robles but they have wrestled I believe twice but once for sure tho, and it was a close match dnt get me wrong (reffering to Robles losing to Falck) but Robles brought his A game this time around and Falck didn't

So congrats to Robles and I hope he does well again this coming season

  • @LordofTyranny Good comment and very true..I noticed Robles is quick to compliment or state his experience win or loss with any of his opponents. He never talks down to them..

  • falck manhadled robles twice

  • yea but he lost here and the dude has one leg....cmon he should be gettin manhandled everyonve in a while...

  • @beagler45 dude 125 are not that big in muscle and that dude has one leg so that takes out alot of weight.. thats a huge advantage b/c he benches like more than 200 while 125 max are around 160

  • @ViETxSOULJAx he can bench 300+

  • @SiestaBay239 how much dose he squat??

  • @ViETxSOULJAx i was maxing 200 at 125. This guy isnt the first on ive seen wrestling without limbs, theres one really good kid with no legs or arms.

  • @howellvikingvarsity bull shit. you can't pin someone without legs or arms. no way.

  • @howellvikingvarsity okay.. nevermind.. i just looked him up.. wow.. i'm amazed.

  • @borednessislife yea man kid was a stud

  • @howellvikingvarsity seriously.. 41-4 record his senior year without arms or legs. that's insane.. inspirational. probably more inspirational than anthony robles up here. haha.

  • Someone made the point that Robles is actually bigger and stronger than a 125 wrestler because if he had his other leg he would be in a higher weight class.

Ironically, his lack of a leg gives him a size and strength advantage.

And he has the heart of a lion to go out and compete like that.

  • it comes with disadvantages too, as seen in the sanders match, sometimes he can be easily spun around for 2 and off balanced into an unfavorable position on his back.

    amazing on top though.

  • @njreader101 Absolutely correct. His body type is a 149-157. Lot of heart to do what this kid does and its amazing how successful he is. #1 seed in the upcoming tourny, although I think McDonough will beat him in the finals.

  • @njreader101 its true he has the advantage of accumulating mass in other areas. He probably doesn't have to starve himself to cut or maintain weight like a lot of wrestler do. And how do you take down someone who doesn't "really" have a true stance. The opponent basically starts the fight right where he want him. This kid is milking his many advantages and acting like Cinderella. Don't get me wrong I'm glad the kid found a niche in life but this is no anomaly .

  • @njreader101 in wrestling, especially collegiate wrestling, size and strength isn't as important as hard work, wrestling IQ, and determination. There's really no such thing as "getting caught" in wrestling, 99 times out of 100 someone who "got Caught" were actually just stalling or out positioned. Robles is were he is because of how hard he worked his ass off to get there.

  • @njreader101 when he started everyone felt sorry for him because he had no leg, and didn't do good. Now he's on top and everyone thinks he has an advantage. Their partly right. His advantage is a bigger heart, not a missing leg.

  • @BootyBot no his advantage is being able to pack on extra upper body muscle without that pesky old leg most have to carry to weigh ins

  • i wrestle 125 he is my inspriation:)

  • damn it looks like it is impossible to sprawl on robles... lol

  • Wow Anthony is a great wrestler just imagine

what he could do if he had two legs!

(This comment was not meant to be harmful in any way)

  • @Baseballlegend5000 most likely would be wrestling 165 and be an ok wrestler

  • @toolmantooltime your a tool... legs weigh 40% of body weight... so hes weigh 150...but keep in mind that he has one effing leg....true hero, great wrestler and role model

  • MAD props to Anthony! Congrats man!

  • inspiration that u can do whatever if you believe and put your mind towards your beliefs

  • iowa in the only wrestling state. GO HAWKS

  • INSPIRATION

  • what a beast! iowa is a legit wrestling state too

  • wow :)

  • The 125 pounder Anthony Robles maxes out his bench press at 300lbs... WOW! I am 171, and he's benches about 100lbs more than me!

  • you also have to consider the weight his other leg would have given him too

  • I agree, but he uses his upper body so much (not much by choice, but not a dis either) that its not really all that surprising to lift a lot, I admit I was stunned wen I say he culd bench 300, which makes it hard to tie-up with him. Good strategy by wearing out his opponents

But he is much bigger than the other 125lb who hav to cut a lot of weight in sum cases (he mentioned he weighs around 130sh in the off season I believe) so yeah, 125lb a good choice for him.

  • hes a very good upper body guy

  • @DeRocco21

er, um... yeah, he can bench 300lb and he weighs around 130lb on average. I already know he is strong. So why are you telling me sumthing I've already posted before?

  • i wasnt talking to you

  • Thats not wat my inbox said. You must have replied to me by mistake then. But you did say it to me tho.

  • oh well anyway, we both agree hes a good wrestler

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I watched Anthony Robles wrestle at last year's NCAA championships with tears in my eyes. One of the most inspiring things I have ever seen. We should all think about this guy when we feel like complaining about our lives, and be grateful for what we have, and be grateful that there are people like this in the world. GO ANTHONY!!!
