Good call on the training. I agree that whatever training the lion's had, if any, did not teach it limits to dealing with other organisms. There's something that's worked very well among dogs - when puppies play fight, if one becomes too aggressive and hurts another, the mother/other puppies will give a mild nib to the puppy on the neck, and the puppy will learn it is above the bar. It's negative reinforcement and it happens in nature too...wait I guess that's what the trainer did...

What was the purpose of the photo? To show the martial arts technique as strong (lions are strong, or strong enough to be around lions)? I think the lion showed that the technique has nothing to do with lions other than that lions are better.

This is ridiculous, the trainers look highly untrained and not capable of controlling a lion. Waving your hands and legs around and doing stupid motions in front of a lion is the equivalent of waving a feather in front of a domestic cat, it leaps and tries to go for it. This is animal abuse at its best. This took place at Bowmanville zoo in Canada. Stay clear of this zoo...
