my school is right across from there(buchanan). we had to miss school for two weeks because windows,doors,roofs ect. were brought down from the explosion.my best friend lived in the base at tht time and her windows and back door was brought down to. it was a nightmare...

The blasts are suspicious. There appeared to be multiple blast points based on the way the drums blew and burned, and that could likely not be due to some kind of plant failure in one area.

Given that I own a house in PR, went to high school there, and have lived there , as well as have experienced refinery explosions in the past and combat explosions in Iraq, I don't really give a shit what you think. There ARE ecoterrorists in Puerto Rico, as well as other terrorist organizations that have engaged in malicious acts.

Yes, maintenance by Gulf and most refineries is very poor, and it is certainly possible that the explosions were due to poor maintenance. However, the FBI has been investigating, so clearly I'm not the only one plagued by "stupidity." There were also electrical grid sabotages when I was there by the stupid union, but I guess we'll ignore that too.

The problem is that we will have gas for only a week if this problem persist, and the dangerous move relocating all the prisioners of the jail which is near the refinery who had to be relocated in other jails around the island
