There was a version actually done by Koda Kumi in english. I have it somewhere, Square enix just decided to go with Jade on the english version. Sounds quite a bit different when Koda sings it in english to include some of the lyrics.

Final Fantasy X was my first Final Fantasy game and so I have a special connection with those characters, inlcuding Paine from X-2 so it's sad when I think that their story is over and they're gone forever. When I heard that X-2 was coming out and their story was continuing I felt so good for them b/c that had never happened before. I guess I at least have that to be thankful for.

They actually considered her English Version but it was poorly done (let's face it - and I'm a Koda Kumi fan myself). Brian Gray did the English adaption to the lyrics to suit the American/English audience more.

Well, the producer is (Roberto Rosan aka stagename Geoman/Geo). Right now, he's a full time producer for the singer/song writer you see in front of you (Jade Valerie :D ). He didn't produce this song though but my goodness, he has done so much it's sad he's not that well known :(

actually kumi koda sang the japanese version of this song and jade valerie sang the english version while kumi koda was about to release her version of the english version of the song. In other words, this version that we are listening to right now came out on Final Fantasy X-2 before kumi koda could release her own english version.

Honestly, I think they should have used Kumi's original English version instead of getting sweetbox to do it. All sweetbox did for this game was sing, and Kumi recorded the movements and the song in English and Japanese, a remix and a full mix. Let sweetbox do the harmony for 1000 words instead of Kumi...But I won't go making them remake the game for something like that!

Her English (no offense 'cause I love Kumi, too)is not good in that version though.. & yeah we all know Kumi did the mo-caps for the 2 songs(& voice of Lenne in the JP ver). Said so in the credits. I don't think the MV was the actual mo-cap session though cause the movements dont look as synced. But hey they chose Jade for the English and a Brian Gray adapted the lyrics better in English. They kinda rejected Kumi's ver.I'm glad they did this anyway. Wouldn't have known such an awesome artist:)

I love Jades voice a thousand times better than Koda's. Ok, I admit that alot of Japanese female and male singers are ALOT better then western singers, but I think Jade is the FIRST singer I have preferred over a Japanese one.
