to be honest I think SatAM is more of a kids show because it dates a lot more and lacks the charm of AOSTH. I much prefer AOSTH because it was much more accurate to the games and it didn't take it's self too seriously like SatAM
I believe sonic X was the attempt to satisfy the fan's needs for another sonic cartoon instead of trying to draw it the same way as in sonic SATAM and having to watch the episodes and make a new screipt, so basically they took the lazy way out and what's worse is 4kids got a hold of it

dude, he was called Robotnik in the games too, well he was called Eggman in the early games but only in japan, when the first game came to the US SEGA changed his name to Robotnik, actually they didn't change it because his real name is Robotnik even in japan, Eggman is just his nickname, as for the cape, just ignore it, it's not a big deal.
