@fkizz00 Well, think of it this way: If Kamina hadn't died, Simon would've never had to go through an epic rebirth after moping, and thus he wouldn't have saved the entire human race from destruction. Kamina knew that he himself didn't have enough strength, so he motivated Simon so that he could become one of the most GAR protagonists ever. And he did make a sort of comeback in Let's Go, Buddy and Lagann Hen. See for yourself.

I get your point, but I can't help but feel disappointed, because:

simon ends up as a hobo and nia dies, rossiou who did what he did becomes the president of the universe. (strange moral of the story)

I can't help but feel if kamina had tutored simon more they could both end up as awesome spiral warriors, (see gurren laggan parallel works 1 to get what I mean)

also prologue doesn't happen, so I felt a bit tricked into watching ttgl for something that wasn't on the show

Srsly no one realize that the scale of the anti-spiral universe is way smaller than normal universe? the TTGL must be as big as a gigant planet, maybe a star, but a galaxy? in their dreams... just look at the anti-spiral mecha and see that his REAL native planet is clearly visible in his head when a galaxy scale it wouldn`t even be visible.

The only mecha that is REALY the size of a galaxy is the getter emperor and potentialy infinite sized...

Or maybe there's no need for things to make sense there(they are STANDING on a GALAXY(and in the second movie, the Tengen Toppa Dai-Gurren actually SAILS on top of gigantic WAVES)).

And besides, concerning yourself with scale in this series seems a little unneccessary.

@UltimateGajeel in a match againts the guy with TTGL fight here, the match is by far on favor of db: for a proper advanced teleporter user (like cooler, kid buu, janemba, goku, gogeta and vegetto) it's enough detect the brain-planet's energy, charge suddently a (big) planet busting attack, teleporting at the very last instant behind the brain-planet, and pulverize it.

on the other side, via-"projection" a sigle atom can reach a continental range just as an human can surely hitting a virus with a proper sized bucketful of antibyotic
