  • Bravo!! My deepest respect!!!

  • i almost teared up when i saw the paw, you are a bear rescuer

  • pooooaw

  • Thank you for all of your work. I am also working to get the word out as much as possible. There are many, many others who agree with us. We cannot let people forget the brutality of Dec 6-10.

  • This makes me sick. No one should do this to any animal. I belong to the ely north america black bear. When u see a bear born in the den and watch how mom treats the little one you know they are wonderful creatures. I look for bears every trip I take. Only saw 2 bears in all the yrs I lived in NJ.

  • This is animal cruelty by the people who are supposed to ensure their survival & protection!

  • Sickening practice. This is animal abuse, plain and simple !! Go to bear.org and learn the real facts about Black bears. So many misconceptions about them. Learn people, learn !!!!

  • Oh-My-God the poor thing...Thank you for bringing this subject to life. :(

  • Thank you and bless you for the work you do for our beautiful bears. We have so few in our state; and very few people have your compassion and heart. So many swaggering blowhard killers make up these rationales for their bloodlust, and they just make me ache for their senseless acts. I LOVE ANIMALS AND ANIMAL LOVERS. Keep up the good work and be careful.

  • Poor bear. With an injury that severe to it's paw and no medical attention, it would be kinder to kill the bear so it won't starve to death or be cruelly killed by a pack of wild dogs.

  • Bears are good hearlers , both spiritually and physically. The bear's paw did heal and last time I saw him, he was doing fine.

  • @bear3360 Let me see if I've got this straight. You're claiming that the people in the pictures set that frightened bear free, and then the bear posed on a sheet of plywood to have its picture taken to show a nearly severed paw. Is that really what you're claiming? Who's misleading whom?

  • @5Cazador5 Yes to the first question. No to the second.

I used my telephoto lens to get the photograph of the

    maimed foot.
