  • 11 "dislikes"?11!but why?I can't belive...

  • Amazing... almost all 'Solid Gold' performances back in the day were solid lipsynch! Buy NOT Stevie Nicks... The real deal, always. Love how she belted this out. And yes, so adorable to look at.

  • I AM A VIRGIN

  • I love Stevie Nicks...but the dance break LMAO

  • Live now thats impressive!!!!

  • she kills this... when her and dude start dancing is the best part

  • Stevie's coke days...they never got in the way of her music though Lol

  • ERES LA MEJOR STEVIE TE AMOOOOOOOOOO....!!!!!!!

  • Honestly saying she should go back on coke to lose weight? She is an incredible talent, but also human. I've been sober almost 3 years and she is an inspiration to me. If I ever meet her, I will thank her profusely for her wonderful gifts of strength and song

  • she is great

  • SHE JUST FANTASTIC

  • She always gives the most dynamic performances..

  • Erste Sahne!!!

  • Sharon Celani had a plastic surgery? When was that?

  • @ChrissieBana she never had any plastic done

  • That passionate final verse at 3:08 --- "Well darling, goodbye! Well, go away!" -- adds something that is even better than the studio version.

Stevie is interesting as a performer -- she "feels" each song live in the moment, it's never the same way twice, which is why she always refused to lip synch. In one of her earlier MTV videos (Stop Draggin My Heart Around) you can see she cannot lipsych - she couldn't stop herself from improvising, changing the lyrics a little.

  • I'd eat her like an ice cream cone with lots of licking.....

  • @sheanicky

Hey thanks Jeffrey for posting directions to your vimeo vids. Nightbird was fantastic as was Stand Back. SB has been one of my faves since it came out. Stevie opened her Sydney Show last Wednesday night with SB. I wasn't there, but wish I was. I see you have a few KB vids as well. I am a true fan from way back. Cheers, LR.

  • Could she be any more beautiful?!?!?!

  • She was not lip synching here, though the music sounds like the original track

  • The most dynamic singer in the business. I've seen Stevie with Fleetwood Mac and solo 10 times over the years and shen never disapoints her fans. Each one of her songs are fresh and new sounding each time. Love Her so much.

  • we´ll never see something like this....SHE IS A REAL DIVA!!!!

  • This was America at its 'coolest prime'.

  • she is the best who is madonna

  • Thanks for uploading this video - loved Stevie since I was 15 and I am 50 now - she is truly the Queen of Rock!!! I had the chance to see her live in Houston last month and she looked beautiful and sounded great!!!!

  • will the people stop commenting on her cocaine addition, god she been over that for years...she got the help herself, did it on her own..now that's a strong person...with all do respect, she not dead like Amy winehouse and others like her .....

  • Awesome!! Oh.. how I wish that someone on here would post Stevie's Saturday Night Live appearance doing Stand Back!! It was Incredible!!

  • @Sheanicky Hey Sheanicky - YouTube pulls it down. I posted her SNL "Stand Back" and "Nightbird" on my Vimeo page. Go to Vimeo dot com and search JEFFREYCHRIST.

  • @jeffreychristIsAlive I did, but it says Not Found...could you please inbox me the link?

  • @Sheanicky

    veoh.com/watch/v15889162awXyRTTe?h1=Stevie+Nicks+-+Stand+Back

    not great, but decent quality...

  • @beeepizzle I also posted her Stand Back and Nightbird on my page in a higher quality. Go check it out - search JEFFREYCHRIST and you'll find them!

  • it seems that the choreography when the dancer appears included slaps that stevie forgot...:OD

  • A real "rocker"--go Stevie!

  • Kudos to Stevie for singing live and not lip-synching like most bands did on SG.

  • lip-syncs??? heres some advice layoff the crack pipe

  • what the fuck is up with the guitarist at 0:58?

  • well you could be standing! in!

  • Pretty BadAss!

  • Just saw her on the Rocks last tuesday and she still packed them in and put on a wonderful show...

  • stevie musta been on some serious drugs lol nah shes a fantastic singer though with or without them

  • @chelcmelc1 Clearly she is coke-fueled in this fantastic, and oddly "live" performance from Solid Gold. Stevie looked great here, though her voice was already in coke-induced decline (she also sang the hell out of her voice for years with Fleetwood Mac and her own solo concerts). Stand Back should have been a number ONE song. What an amazing song!

  • She is BAD ASS!!!!!!

  • Great video love it, although talking about syncs, this video can use some sync between song and vid.

  • This is hot - a raw fierce LIVE vocal and sexy moves by Bella Donna - dig how she loses herself in the groove at 1:17-1:23 - bad ass!

  • I have seen Stevie in concert 7 times, and every time a truly amazing experience, she is a true rock and roller. Rock on Stevie.

  • @lpcamaroboi Nice. Sorry I missed that one. They probably blew the doors off.

  • Take that Britney Spears!!! Stevie Nicks sings live!

  • @AztecPrincess84 Wow, that was exactly my point in my video "Stevie Nicks - Intense live." What a coincidence. I just read your comment now. Even on Solid Gold, where almost everyone sang to their record, Stevie did it live. Britney was invited to sing on American Idol as a guest and asked to lip-synch. When Simon said no, she cancelled. What a phony.

  • Extremely talented and so much more!

  • I love this song too much <3

  • Oh dammit! That guy at 2:44!! Bastard!! I've been longing to do that for almost 30 years!

  • God I love this woman

  • oooh RUSS KUNKEL SIGHTING!!!

  • 5 people are complete idiots with no taste for real talent.

  • where can i download the mp3 of this?

  • What is doing the guitarman behind Stevie in 1:00 ?? mmmhhh ... ~¬

  • by far one of the most talented female artist of all time Love ya stevie

  • @chip13hoss not one of the best, the best period

  • @chip13hoss the most talented of all

  • i would be in favor of her doing coke again if it would make her get back down to this weight

  • @VistaBoner I understand your point...I would LOVE to see her back to this weight, but not via cocaine. There has to be another way. I see so many celebs doing commercials for weight loss systems...I keep hoping she will follow in the footsteps of Belinda Carlisle, Marie Osmond and Jennifer Hudson. She did get back to her normal weight briefly after Betty Ford, but then the old Klonopin kicked in...

  • @wildhrt83 back at this weight ? about 105 ? please. she is a mature more then middle age woman. MOST women develop thickness around the waist and fill out as they age, its called menopuase and hormone's change. Its ridculous of you to expect or put pressure on any middle age woman to look like she did when she was in her 20's. She currently looks fine and HEALTHY. Kindly get realistic and get your head out of your ass and check back with us when you are 60 and tell if you are still a size 2.

  • @HighMindedLunacy 1) She was about 125 here. 2) She was not in her 20's, she was 35. 3) She started gaining weight when she was 39...long before menopause 4) There are plenty of women her age or older who have kept their figures: Susan Lucci, Dolly Parton, Cher...others not far behind, such as Belinda and Marie. 5) Everyone's metabolism changes as they get older, if you don't change your eating habits and exercise routine, you will gain weight...period. Age is not an excuse for gaining weight.

  • @wildhrt83 you are truly a shallow person, and shallow people are not worth talking to. I suppose yout hink Cher looks good ? Someone who is so obssessed with " body image" she cannot even age gracefully.. She looks like hell, she has had so much plastic surgery she squeaks when she walks and her face looks like a frozen corpse-same with Dolly Parton, not to mention her silicone chest, but these seem to be womnen you hold up as the ideal woman. Lucci has a bony ass chest and legs. I pity you.

  • @HighMindedLunacy I am not shallow, but honest. I don't think any of the above women are "ideal", I was merely mentioning that they, along with many other women of a certain age, have maintained their figures...which has nothing to do with plastic surgery to the face or breasts. I may be shallow in thinking that people can and should maintain their height/weight proportion, but YOU are being very harsh on the other ladies, so perhaps we're even. You are entitled to your opinion and I to mine.

  • @HighMindedLunacy I am curious to know why you jumped all over me for having an opinion, but didn't say a word to the person who suggested that Stevie should resume her coke habit to lose weight. I wouldn't want that for any reason.

  • @HighMindedLunacy she was in her 30s here, but yea..

  • @HighMindedLunacy I AM A VIRGIN

  • She ROCKS... !!!!

  • judging by the way the black host's poor acting in the intro (pretending to speak to an imaginary being called darcel) clearly darcel is an imaginary being.

  • at 2:36 would you try to go further if you were that guy?

  • Belleza y talento - I love u Stevie!!! what a singer!!

  • The 4 ass-clowns who dislike this video need to be castrated to prevent them from contaminating the world with their stupidity.

  • Hope she comes to Australia

  • @Jericho6060 she already did

  • There is only one Stevie Nicks!

  • brilliant !!!!

  • can anyone explain where her voice comes from so powerful &beautiful she is so little

  • Oh how I would love to give a cocaine enema to this gorgeous woman

  • We all Love Stevie!

  • this is so cool. anybody know the date?

  • @jfranciskeus MUSTA BEEN 82/83 - I GUESS 82

  • @DocBrewster

    it was 1984.

  • Rock on Stevie!

  • totally awesome live rendition of this song. they look so cool. all these hip hop hags out there now are copying what 80s rocker women looked like.

  • Great Dancing! Loved it

  • Stfu, I'm trying to listen to the song.

  • @kimJosette hahaha who R ya talking to? lol

  • What a beautiful, pristine video. I am in heaven..........wonderful, just wonderful.

Thank you for sharing this ........Stevie Nicks is one of kind, a true, genuine artist.

  • What a beautiful young lady! Great song, Very powerful vocals, Good music, Excelent video, Lot's of eye candy. I have to give this one 100%

  • I remember this. Damn. The only live vocal ever, EVER on Solid Gold, and she was hell-bent on making sure we took notice. How badass is that?

  • @Botwin66 Classic! But she wasn't the only person to sing live on Solid Gold.

  • @Botwin66 Heart sang "How Can I Refuse" live on Solid Gold in February of 1984.

  • @Botwin66 Actually, there were some other live vocals on Solid Gold. Debbie Harry of Blondie did "Call Me" and "The Tide Is High" live.

  • the good old days. thin, alert, present.

stevie you really blew it not long after this.

  • cokey or not, I love her, and I love this vid :)

  • Comment removed

  • I wouldn't lip-sync either if I could sing like that!

  • She liked any kind of downers percosett codiene

  • actually it was coke..she freely admitted it on Behind The Music

  • I love her, don't get me wrong. I had a friend in LA that used to detail her Porche car and would find baggies all the time...not that it matters. I'm definitely not here to argue over her drug use...she is a great singer and song writer....but...she is an addict like most of us are to anything. Geez, calm down folks.

  • I think this is the only solid gold live vocal ?

  • @atomicplayboy4u She did one for Nighbird also.

  • I would die for that dress

  • My favorite Welsh Witch! XO

  • Makes so many of the other female vocalists look like a joke---a true legend indeed!!!!

  • @westportCT Indeed . Listen to their live performances ! They CANNOT sing ! They should be sued for fraud ! No, I am not a lawyer ! LOL

  • I think just about every half decent looking woman was coked up back then lol..

  • @Cadmium77 who cares coke is a hellvua drug ! sniff sniff !

  • @Cadmium77 wot does that mean? Coke makes them decent looking or they were given free coke?

  • @DocBrewster

given free coke of course...1970's you had a gram of good coke you were gittin laid tonight..

  • @Cadmium77 oh well thats just fucked - i grew up in the 90's early 2000's - chics are uptight princesses these days - it sux!

  • omg

  • jclanton76 in reply what the F' yall think GAGA is on????? Stevie roks GAGA sux

  • Only back in those days she was coked up a lot.

  • @jclanton76 I have viewed a few of her solo live shows its not coke its booze ! She is totally wrecked ! LOL

  • this is stevie nicks -a soul.

  • drugged up much?

  • wonderful song ..

  • Prince played keyboard on the record.

  • How coked out do you think she is here? I have to wonder if Stevie often forgot the lyrics of her songs, when high back in those days sans the reason of her mumbling gibberish. I Love it!!

  • that was a good time, i want it back. Nice Song !!!!

  • @Sveniful I'd give ANYTHING to be able to go back to these days

  • really I love her performance

  • awesome

  • Beautiful Stevie....... what a Voice....

  • Wow.....a REAL singer who sings LIVE.....who has the talent and BALLS to sing LIVE. Stevie is one of the all-time best.

  • @lcowles I agree - great live version. If you like LIVE singing then please watch every single, incredible live performance by Carrie Underwood, the best vocalist the music business (maybe ever). Carrie can sing any genre, any time, any day and loves to do rock/hair metal covers as well. Carrie and Keith Urban actually sang a cover of "Stop Draggin My Heart Around" on tour and it blew the roof off the place. Love Stevie = legend. Once of thew few women in rock who pulled it off 100%!

  • AWESOME video!!! that guitarist on the right however - wow!!!! I bet he's embarrassed lookin' back at this - that was embarrassing!!! Looks like he's having an attack of some sort!

  • fucking awesome rock chick in my books \m/ \m/

  • SOLID GOLD..what a blast from the past. I remember that show when I was a kid. LOL! What a beautiful lady and a beautiful singer, such talent. I love pretty much all her songs Stevie with or without Fleetwood Mac. I grew up listening to her music and never stopped listening since. Thanks for your wonderful music you have written and performed, keep up the good work:)

  • I Want My Hair Like That...

  • The perfect vampire, how beautiful girl.

  • I love this thanks for sharing!!! I enjoyed this now just as much as I did back in 1981!!!!!!!

  • I have always had an infatuation with this sorceress straight out of Arizona since I have been a kid she is a great and true practitioner of the craft of the wise

  • Awwwwwwwwwww She Is awesome!!!!!!

  • This, is girlpower.

  • Clearly, the only performance on Solid Gold that wasn't lip synched. Go Stevie !! Go Stevie !! Show 'em how it's done.

  • you go Stevie! what's truely awesome is that the nature of the message in the song changed, because the relationship the song is about changed, so naturally she changes the lyrics, notice she omits the lyrics "I would cry"....brilliant...that my good friends is talent

  • Nice, Sky Ferieirra did a cover of this song and it sounds good too :)

  • This is simply awesomeness!!!!! <3 <3 <3 me some Stevie!

  • I like the addition of the boy-toy dancer toward the end. xD

  • EVERY TIME I WATCH HER PERFORM SHE PUTS ME IN A FUCKING TRANCE... SHE GIVES ME GOOSE BUMPS ALL OVER SHE SO AMAZING. THAT IS ONE BEAUTIFUL WOMAN RIGHT THERE.

  • I'm in love with this woman, damn

  • THIS IS SO GOOD

  • stevie's hot!

  • @CoreyR2010

shit--I STILL have that same haircut since then! My daughter's name is Rhiannon Sara...I'm nuts! oh and I fucking sing just like her without trying...fm....

  • @celticsongs64 That's great! I love 80's hair, it's so much more interesting than how girls have their hair today... straight and flat. Any girl with big hair is a turn on for me :D

  • She won't say "cry".... ouch!

  • she is so hot and gifted....damn and i getta get up and go to work everyday...

  • I remember Solid Gold, that was a great show for cheezy vids in the 80's. Man, what a simplier time that was...Mtv doesn't even have vids anymore. I wanna go back!

  • @bigdsears it was simplier....love stevie

  • i love her to death! she really is an amazing artist

  • Comment removed

  • The Marlene Dietrich of rock and roll!!

  • wow, Bob Dylan with boobs and blond hair. Less boobs, more lips and the ability to suck more than one guy from your band, and still manage to mumble out a tune, super girl to her. i guess

  • By the way she looks gorgeous there!

  • she can't lip-sync? cool! she sure can sing!

  • Thanks 4 sharing..the quality is AMAZING!

  • Goosebumps

  • Hands down one of the best female singers of all time! No one has a voice like Stevie!

  • @lisalauzon08 Agreed!

  • She has a very unique voice (that I like a lot). But sometimes I wonder how some of those current stars would perform in one of those casting shows, that are running everywhere these days. No recall for Stevie, I would guess... :-)

  • @lisalauzon08 stevie isn't 1 of the best she is best ever!!!!!!!!!!

  • I guess an artist always has to be playing with his or her work to stay entertained. Personal...I can skip the antics and re-interpretations. And before you comment, I am pretty sure that Stevie Nicks did not work for free...
