I had a full option 1.2 LX with the best engine (86 hp)

It was a great car with a great charm.

This crashtest is from 2000.

But technical this Lancia Y is from '96, The year it came out.

It was build on the same way till '04.

In '02, it only got some little intrior and extrior upgrades,....like another front grill, another steeringwheel, another head and backlights ect.....

So I can't say it's bad for a car from '96 with this size.

Just compare it with other brands from that same year....

why doesn't Euroncap have any crash tests of the 2nd Generation of Lancia Ypsilon? It only has that devastating 2-star rating of 2000... Where can I learn about its safety if I need to purchase one?

@PoulChuck they use same structure as the Grande punto or the Alfa MiTo, if you see those you have the idea of the New lancia Ypsilon,

@215alessio guarda che la grande punto ha tutto un altro telaio infatti ha 5 stelle nei crash test euro n cup post 2004 che erano anche più severi e l'alfa mito ha un telaio di derivazione grande punto il telaio della Y nelle immagini e derivato da quello dell punto prima versione uscita nel lontano 1994 e ha prestazioni nei crash test del tutto simili alla concorrenza dell'epoca

rettifico la punto fu commercializzata per la prima volta nel lontano 1993

I owned a Lancia Y elefantino rosso from 1999.

Luckily I had no accident, this looks quite bad.

But I have to say the suspension and driving behaviour were great for such a small car.
