  • anybody know what the song is that is playing when nick telles marlee the he is on the jury?

  • Why gun manufacturers and not tobacco companies, as the book? Does 20th Century have tobacco shareholders?

  • I get tired of movies that have a camerman with parkinsons, it is called fake excitement

  • Two things about this movie that isn't as good as the book, first of all, the book tells of the tobacco industry which seems a lot wealthier and dirtier in their tactics than that gun producer as shown in the movie. Also, Nicholas Easter was young in the book yet they cast JOHN CUSACK? lol

  • @TurboFuss1 Many people in Hollywood smoke. So they went with something they know nothing about.

In the real world the big Gun Companies have never lost a case that I'm aware of. Only the junk gun makers have been found liable for producing junk.

  • Great Movie.

  • Loved the book and the movie........both were amazing though, just liked the book better.

  • I read the book few days back, have'nt watched the movie yet.. I hope it would be of the same standard as the bo0k

  • this movie was amazing.. its so mind fucking XD and awesome.

  • any movie worthy of a denouement is worth watching, everyone watch this movie.

  • wasn't the book about sigarets?

  • Great Performance by the whole cast. Opens your eyes to a sad reality about jury selection. The film exposes an important social message.

  • @FernandoVillarrealG it's an enjoyable movie . It's not important movie and doesn't have any social message . It doesn't even belong in the top courtroom movies . Anatomy of a murder , a few good men , 12 angry men . Those are classics . Runaway jury isn't even able to live up to its own potential . Gene Hackman/ Dustin Hoffman . On the paper it's Heat . But Hoffman gets dry humped by Hackman and nobody is pleased.

  • Great Performance by the whole cast. Opens your eyes to a sad reality about jury selection. The film exposes an important social message.

  • excellent performance by John Cusack and Gene Hackman. I am reading the book and I keep recollecting the actors in the movie

  • Lot of suspense in this movie so I watched it entirely. But the evil villain was too obvious 'gun company' and wonderful child loving 'anti-gun' . It was fun to make fun of it as it played out of course with how evil anyone supporting gun rights was and how really all anti-gun folks want is Love LOL. All we need is love la la la la...

Sixties lives on LOL. When a rapist breaks in just show him your love and he'll break down in tears ----no really--- he will...

  • @SanEverett Really nice movie. Im so sorry for some people in the states.

USA is so proud of their second amendment and they -northamericans- really needs it. Is the only nation i know with a so huge % of people scared of a rapist break and entering their home in a dark night. After all is what they want to ----no really--- they want it...

  • Everybody have a secret they dont want you to find , l really enjoyed watching thing movie.

  • Great film

  • I read this book but still I dont get that book.....

  • it was awesome

  • I don't like the style of John Grisham & I admit, I haven't read the book... But the storyline is amazing, I loved this movie! It's got a perfect cast. Recommended to everyone!

  • I'm in favor of the gun manufacturer and I think a lot of other people would be too. I don't like that this movie casts the gun manufacturer as the villain.

  • one of the best of john grisham!!

  • dustin hoffman makes me want to be a lawyer :) awsome film. one of my absolute favorites

  • Honestly I prefer movies of the 70's, 80's and 90's but Runaway Jury is pure masterpiece. No question! Interesting & intriguing storyline, suspense and brilliant ending. Dustin Hoffman is real master of acting. Gene Hackman was great too. I adore Rachel Weisz and John Cusack. They were fantastic and looked great. Very beautiful screen couple. They should make more films together.

    Brilliant Film!!!

  • I love the way the book is written, its not an intense struggle between the good and bad guys, the whole time the good guys are butt fucking their opposition, its freaking sweet.

Movie... not as good as the book but still ok.

  • such a good movie, saw it a few years ago, and we are watching it in my law class today!

  • Fantastic Film!

  • i saw this last night on tv

    it was freakin awesome

love dustin hoffman and john cusack in this

well i love everyone in this

  • in the book, the guy died from lung cancer then his wife sued the cigarette manufacturer. they change it a bit ithink bcoz its too political. btw the book is great.

  • the book was awesome.. just finished it.. imma watch this film too.. cool!

  • Amazing move; one of my favorites of all-time :)

  • GomerGilligan - judging from the comments left on your page on YOU TUBE- Sir you sound like a typical 24 year old Moron !

  • exactly

why do ppl like this movie its bullshit

the worst part is the "good" guys get away in the end

to bad they dont get shot

  • @gomergilligan they are not being prosecuted, this isn't criminal law, it is tort law. They are suing the company because they neglected to prevent their product from entering the black market because they were too interested in making money. A person who eats at mcdonalds getting fat is their own fault, getting shot with a weapon that was leaked to the black market was not the victims fault. The whole point of this case it to set a Precedent, if you don't know what that is good look it up.

  • @hewittdj1 that's the dumbest crap I've ever heard - how can a company prevent their product from entering the black market - whether it's cigarettes, booze, guns, porn or anything else - this opens pandora's box - where does it stop?

  • The book was amazing, I'm sure I'll watch the film too, hope it is as great as the book. Grisham is one of the best novelists of the world.

  • haven't seen the movie, but just came across the book yesterday and started reading it today. figured i'd see if there was a movie made..looks good.

  • I'm reading it now. Great book. And I've seen the movie years ago...

  • one of the most clever movies i've ever seen

  • on of the best grisham-stories !!!

  • is the book not about smoking. Or is that only the dutch translation?

  • yeah the book is about smoking

  • I've seen the movie, and read it in Hebrew and English. All of em are great.

  • to: MaxMeine

hoe heet het boek dan mischien kan ik het gebruiken voor mijn boekverslag??

  • In het geding

  • Grisham's the man!

  • yeah, your right!

  • how many times has the Louisville slugger company been sued over people killed with baseball bats?

  • How many people can the baseball bat kill in a few minutes? OR How much of a chance would it give a group of people to get away or defend themselves?

  • i love this movie

  • the movie wasnt as great. the real story was actually against a tobacco company, not a fire arms company and in the end the shocking truth is they found out her parents died of lung cancer not something about a school shooting. the book was way more interesting and suspensful

  • yehh rimu.. the book was great.. infact i just finished reading it...

  • I totally agree!! Why does moviemakers take a great story and try to reinvent it and call it the same?? Grrrr . . . Loved the book . . . the movie . . not so much.
