@shawn963741 in Australia we have have to go through a massive system until we get our full licence. you strart off with L plates or learners in which your have to drive with like a parent. then after doing a practical test you move onto your red P plates in which your can drive by yourself but you cannot go over 90 km per hour. (54 mph). then after 1 year you move onto your green P's were you can go up to 100 km per hour (62 mph). and 1 year later you have your full drivers licence.

@JORDANROUBIQUE It means you are a "Provisional" driver. basically its the licence you get after your learners permit. You can drive by yourself, however you have ridiculous restrictions.

- 90 kmh limit

- only have 1 person in the car after 11pm

- car power restrictions

Hey guys just wondering, I'm American and I don't really understand the Austrailian plate systel. For example, what are "P" plates? Just wondering...

@dropkickproductiontx In Aus when you first start driving you get your L (Learner) Plates. then after a year you get your Red P1 (Provisional 1) Plates then you move up to your Green P2 Plates and then you finally move onto your full licence. While on these plates you have restriction on how fast you can drive and what cars you can use. Hope that cleared it up for ya :)

@maneev02 P-Platers can add modifications to their engines. Stage 2 systems only. In most cases, a pod, reworked injectors, plenum, tuning, Ignitions, exhaust etc etc....The only "limitation" and I got told by the cops...Any forced induction with the exception of Turbo-Diesel is illegal for p platers or any license holders under 25. (Exceptions of those under the old legislature)
