I used to get so pissed at this game when I was a kid. I beat it though, and thank goodness for sturdy nintendo controllers. the arcade stick was good to use cause it had like a machine gun effct.also it had probably the saddest game over music known to games.

Commando (arcade) is one of my favorite games, and this game just is not the same. I tended to avoid renting this game on NES just from the screens on the back of the box. Gun.Smoke, on the other hand, seemed to be a lot closer.

Had there been any way to know that 16-bit consoles were coming a few years later, Capcom could have ported both Commando and Black Tiger (which had a rumored cancelled NES port) to a cartridge on the SNES with arcade-accuracy.

Thanks for the video, really took me back. You are missing almost every secret area w/powerups though, that would make it a lot easier. The original NES cheat book (with the oldest NES games) has a guide to all of the secrets, it may be online somewhere.

I beat this game back when I was 10... after not being able to get through the first level for 2 years. I played the Arcade version and it was more difficult with less secrets.

I remember this friggin game. GOD!!!!! I HATED IT!!!!! I could only get to the 3rd level and that was it. I got so pissed off at it that I never even bothered to try and get to the 4th level.

That both have commabdo in it, it might be set in the same universe.

The character is Joseph Gibson (aka Super Joe or Wolf) Commando who is the hero in Commando and Mercs. In the arcade, NES, Gameboy & Live Arcade versions of Bionic Commando he has been kidnapped and needs to be rescued. In the new Bionic Commando for PS360, he gets you out of prison and gives Nathan Spencer (the Bionic Commando) this assignment.

It reminds of ikria warriors one..I HATED these games, never could get past level two on most of these games. I am throughly impressed and if you dont make it any farther i will say you done well enough for me and take the fake ending as the real one

yeah i bought nes alot later as it was released aswell.Never played this game but it looks similiar to some other games like Rambo on the master system. Your kidding you have to finish this game 4 times that is really stupid. I hated the Ghouls n ghost Game where you had to play the rounds twice but 4 times lol
