  • yeah man this really brung me that late night 80's aura i was 10 years old i used to watch this show

  • OH SNNNNNAP!!! I was beginning to think I was going crazy, like I imagined this show or something. I remember staying up late night on Fridays waiting for this to come on. YOU gotta love YouTube!

  • New York Hot Tracks was another hot video show on back in the day. They showed more R&B urban based videos. I remember seeing Cool and the Gang showed often

  • $379 for a VCR back then...lol

  • @MrMorningside125 It was more than that. I remember it costing that much in 1990. I think My mom paid about 800 for hers that really didn't work properly. Then there was beta videotape, which was hard to find tapes for.

  • @MrMorningside125 no they arte like $8 on ebay.lol

  • Damnnnnnnn I been looking for this show for the longest. Good looking out on posting these videos. I remember waiting up to see this on fridays.

  • used to watch when i was kid.

  • this is amazing...i have asked people if they remember this and they think i'm making it up...lol

  • @etriplethefirst I used to watch this show religiously!

  • The good ole days!!

  • WOW...NY Hot Tracks takes me back! Great memories!

  • I came across this show on a UHF channel we used wire hangers to get it to come in enough to see it. It was all I had in the midwest. I used to copy the style, and get breaking moves. Amoung a sea of Rednecks, it was all I had. God bless "Dicarts", I owe you one!!

  • wow this really took me back! i tripped out for a second when i saw axel foley in the mix...lol

  • Best commercials EVER

    McDonalds actually looks appealing!!!

  • hahaaa! The Lee Jeans ad must've been made by/for butt fetishists...She puts her Lee Jeans bum on everything, including a pb&j sandwich...Oh ick!!!

  • The announcer, Carlos, looks like a Bollywood singer lolol!! :)

  • OLD SCHOOL GUIDOS AND GUIDETTES LOL

  • I am back in 7th grade!!!!! yay

  • These new commercials that are popping up are so annoying! Why bombard us with new crap hiding the old gems? And CROCS, that fashion SUCKS ASS!

  • I was 20 in 1985..Commercials sure were gay back then.

  • wow this is classic, this and Video Music Box!!!!!!

  • I had just graduated junior high school a month earlier when this air date took place.

  • I was expecting more videos and not as much commercials!

  • omg........guys in midriff tops,A&S,Bambergers,New Edition Coke Is It commercial and Sale of the Century...memories.I am getting old.

  • I was looking for a clip of this show. I remember seeing it (not this exact episode) on KTLA ch. 5 here in Los Angeles. There were so many damn video shows in the 80s...got hard to keep up. Probably 2 or 3 most of us never even heard of.

  • I remember living in new york at the time. I was only 9 years old in 1985. I remember staying up to watch this and friday night videos. True essence of new york.

  • I don't know who Diane Bellego is but I fucking HATE her!!!!!

  • wow. I remember waiting on Friday night , 14 years old to watch this video show. carlos looks like an 80's disco arab now that I see him again.

  • @joeybinky Me too! We only had channels 7, 9, 11, 13 and sometimes 21 if the antennas were just right!!

  • @tarmale Yeha, memmories of crappy tv and their bad signal. I wish I can go back to those days.

  • @joeybinky that's funny me too. Today everyone has too much and noone appreciates it. There is total garbage on tv and you can't even watch with your kids. I remember my dad would have the tin foil on the antenna and if anyone got up to get a drink the tv would get fuzzy and he'd get mad!!!

  • @tarmale Yeha, it's sad. I used to watch different strokes, facts of life, hulk, dukes of hazard with my mom or grandma. Shows were so much better back then, even better when mommy, or grandma watched with me. There's just nothing good on anymore. Tv just sucks now.

  • @joeybinky I thought I was the only one...it took me a bit to remember the name..thank god to whoever posted this...and thank even more for youtube!! lol

  • That Sale Of The Century promo with Don

Pardo & Lorenzo "Garfield" Music must've

been done as "Garfield & Friends" was

just taking off on CBS. Unusual combo of

    announcers, even for NBC.

  • 3:01-3:30 Miss the ladies rockin those fashions, they were lookin good from head to toe back then

  • omg I remember this. What a time machine...it's scary. thanks for posting thins.

  • BE CAREFUL! Prince can remove this video without any notice!

  • How ironic... Bobby Brown... Coke is it!

(Ex-wife Whitney Houston did two Diet Coke Commercials in 1986 and 1988 as well!)

  • lmao @ coked up rick james stumbling down the beach HAHA chapelle should have made that part of it somehow.

and patty labelle wtf with that hair lol good god.

  • yeah, all straight guys think of anti-persperant 1st thing they wake up. LOL

  • lmao @ new editions acting skills

  • Awesome Memories thanks for puttin it up!!

  • Man, my sis and I depended on New York Hot Tracks, Friday Night Videos, and U68! Cable just wasn't available in southern Brooklyn -- I didn't get to watch MTV until 1995.

  • Not that it matters, most of those videos you are/were seeing did'nt make MTV because they were "too black." Back in 1985, MTV did'nt play alot of black artists. Around this time, they were'nt playing Whitney Houston yet (her third video "How Will I Know" got her her first shot on MTV and that video was'nt released until early 1986).

  • Kind of an early BET show.

  • This takes me back to my Aunt's house in Queens for real.

My mother still has her A&S card.

  • my teen years would've been a little boring without hot tracks.

  • A&S was way back in the days. My grandmother still has her Alexander's Gift boxes (now that was her favorite store).

  • lol...I remember Alexander's and A&S...I used to fall asleep in Alexander's all the time, something with the carpet and it was always stuffy in there...those were the days

  • yup remeber those stores as well we used to be hardcore shoppers in both

  • Thanks for getting this properly digitized. Good stuff.

  • Man, I feel like crying right now. NY Hot Tracks take me back to my childhood. We were poor as hell but great music and videos from the 80s to get us through

  • the dad in the mcdonald's commercial looks pretty much like Mark McEwen

  • damn, this bring back memories!!

  • I remember the A&S electronics sales, hot damn!! :)

  • Wow!!!

  • The commercials. the old "New" Coke can! Thanks for posting these gems!!!

  • I love this show awesome show

  • got a few v.h.s. tapes of this show. always like it.

  • If you do then share, share share!!!! My parents use to tape videos from the shows and latter on artists' interviews (like The Jets and Lionel Richie), but I want to see some of the early episodes (my dad started taping New York Hot Tracks in the fall of 1984).

  • nyht---the bomb!!!

  • Wow! I was 10!

  • OMG there is no more A&S HAHAHHA

  • you speak of an a&s commercial nice I miss that store man damn macy's =(

  • thank you! brings back the good old days...
