I remember this song back in the early 60`s, I loved it as a young boy and still do as a young nearly 50 year old, No one would have the bottle today to sing about a hole in there roof or a man walking a crooked mile, ohh they were the days,where have they all gone? those lovely simple songs!!
I also remember this song from the same time - guess we're a similar age (50 next May !!!) I've always remembered it and it's always taken me back to those carefree innocent days.
Everything is suggestive, this particular ditty is fantastic
