How realistic is the handling in this game?

In all xpand rally movies you see on youtube, the game is played in ARCADE mode - it's easy and fun to play, but not so realistic.
However, if you turn your game mode to SIMULATION, the game becomes a real challenge.
On SIMULATION, this is the most realistic rally game ever made IMO.
