In lieu of the blow dryer you can always use the flame from a burning candle. I love burning candles while applying my make up. It creates a warm atmosphere as I begin to transform into the "DeDiva1000" .

Burning a Maybeline eye pencil is a skill I learned from Chicana girls in the bathroom in high school back in the 80s. It was cure to see you modernize it. Looks good. Tell me more about those affordable brushes. Where did you find em?

Yup, that look is hot but girl, I am never going to be able to tightline and still have a working eye afterwards -- I just don't have a steady hand like that.

I got the luminizing mist because of your video. But you've got the deep set lids that are perfect for his makeup. it's harder to create dimension when you have smaller lids :)

That's funny that you say he lit the eyeliner. We were doing that (with the red Maybelline Kohl Eyeliner) back in the 70's and 80's! Cool that they're still doing it.

I used to use the lighter trick back in the day in high school. It works so well. You just barely pass the liner tip through the flame - and voila!

I love your videos, I also have the stuck on gold syndrome LOL, but i experiment with color. I wanted to say that I'm not that old, but when i was in high school, i always used a lighter or matches to heat the liner to give it a smooth liquid feel. love this look, so funny about the eyeliner with the lighter. That was my thing back in the day with the maybelline liners that come in red pencil 2 per package, it had to be heated with the lighter/matches blow on and apply lol loves it.

Michelle Phan just did a video showing how u can line ur eye without pulling TOO much... she used the end of a brush to keep the lid steady. It hardly seemed like she was pulling at all. You should check it out.

You really dont need to pull your eye to line the inside...i think we all saw it somewhere and think we need to do it....lol I tight line my eyes everyday..i have one of those twist up liners..and i just put it on my waterline and dont have to touch my eye...even when you do the top just use the side not the tip of the liner if the liner is really pigmented it does the work for you!
