  • if you recognize "The New Grand" cameo appearance you are true canadian indie rock master!

  • I always thought this band comprised of idiots but they did have a couple good songs. It was amazing to live in Toronto during 92-97 or so. So many amazing bands came through.

  • I remember first discovering these guys when I was about 12 or 13 and watching Tarzan Dan on YTV :) My first favourite band...

  • The Hayden cameo was a nice touch in this vid. They both put on good live shows back then

  • Greig looks like a skateboarder boy in this video. (-;

  • @mrbee2000 i saw TC for the first time on my first trip to Canada back in oh, '94, '95? and continued to travel to Canada to see 'em long after it was convenient to do so... here's 1 lucky American who got to be in-the-know!! :D

  • Man, this video just encapsulates the 90s Ontario indie rawk scene so well.

Hayden! C.A. Smith! The New Grand! Shotfall! Radioblaster! Awesome. It was such a tight knit community of bands and a ton of fantastic music was put out. What a special time.

  • is that one of the guys from Sloan on guitar ?

  • @jfalkins no

  • is that one of the boys from Sloan ?

  • im 14 and even i think modern day rock is shiiit.. thers only a handful of modern rock bands that i consider actual music

  • I can't believe Greig Nori is now helping shit like Stereos get famous. What a colossal ball of WTF

If someone had told me in high school that eventually treble charger would split, I would've believed them. Lots of bands split.. but if they then said that Greig Nori would be helping out bands that sound like Hanson get rich and famous I woulda shot them. lol

    what a shame....

  • I forgot about the hayden cameo. Wicked.

  • omfg i'd forgotten about this vid/song!!

man, people used to actually spend time watching much music before it became choked and bloated with reality tv shows about people that nobody gives a sweet shiney fuck about.

  • I work there dude....I know how you feel...everyone does....It's time for a change

  • @ChristopherDB83 SOOOO TRUE!

  • where are they now?

  • whatever happened to the New Grand? i remember seeing them play a house party in Vancouver ages ago.

  • treble charger+greig nori=hottie ( ;

  • ahh, back in the day before Greig Nori hijacked the band and turned it into aor crap before jumping the fence and managing more aor cap.

  • AOR?

  • What is grable?

  • "The song is about a lawyer in New York who promised all this stuff but didn't do anything." I believe Grable is the guy's first or last name.

  • Listening now I realize how shoegazy their early stuff was.

  • Great band live...I don't rememebr where or when I saw them......this is still my favourite song...btu this album was good.

  • Saw these guys play the campus bar at U of S back in the day...I was a drunken asshole.....I long for those days....

  • Wow, what the hell has happened to music today? I was 19 and I drank too much....fun times.

  • I love the 90's!! Makes me feel all nostalgic and stuff!!! I just saw Bill play with his band Don Vail last Friday night!!! Check this band out, they are really good!!!

  • I thought i hurd him in a new band but waznt sure if it waz him or not thanx

  • this takes me back to grade 9 and they played at my high school with thirteen engines i met them and got all there autographs and the bass player reaked of pot, not that i have a problem with that, i smoked too and still do just sayin

  • wow i frogot Hayden waz in this vid

  • this song takes me back. the canadian "indie" scene was so energetic and boisterous back then. i don't know if i'd say things were better back then, the canadian independent music scene is still very vibrant albeit a lot more mature. i've been living out of canada for years now but there's still a lot of music i love coming out of my home and native land (and people in other countries love it as well).

  • Please don't let people think this is the best we had back then...LOL

  • wow! i totally forgot about The New Grand! i saw them play at a party in Vancouver like 12 years ago!

  • This is by far the best Treble Charger Song!!!!!!!!!

  • This song reminds me of the rotting house..LOL It was just down the street from where this video was shot..Soooooo much weed and alot bikes for sale.LOL ;) Come tess me now Quatar!!!The place where the video was shot is so different now.Was a good time back then. :)

  • This takes me back to the good ol 90's Canadian rock.. now we have to put up with crap like Metric and Feist

  • bill is on tour right now playing guitar for kevin drew

  • knwo if their going to halifax? i saw bill in one of their last shows. i miss treble charger.

  • knwo if their going to halifax? i saw bill in one of their last shows. i miss treble charger.

  • mmm... hayden.. : )

  • gotta love the cameo by Hayden and boy did Canadian Alt ROCK in the 90's

  • This vodeo came out when I was about 10. Man does it remind me of the good ol canadian music days with Sloan, Sandbox, Age Of Electric, Pure, Inbreds, Doughboys, well i could go on and on. lol. Also always loved the Hayden cameo. Too bad Treble Charger felt they had to make these really poppy straight to number one style songs in the latter half of their career.

  • I love all 5 of their albums. Though yeah, dey wer better in da 90's, wen dey wer Indie Rock. Wide Awake Bored was actually quite good, it was nearly as successful as Maybe It's Me. Howevr, Detox (although I like it) was the worst album out of all (even I think dat). From my point of view: Its good, but da oda 4 r better. Plus Detox isnt relli TC style anyway.

  • I've only Wide awake Bored and Detox :(

But I love this songs and the other who are on YouTube..

I miss something I think.. eh?

  • thanks for posting this, reminds me of grade 9

  • This was the video that first introduced me to treble charger way back in my early teens... It's soo Canadian! lol... I saw them live many times - I miss em... sigh

  • Greatest video, now i've become more into the 90's Canadian indie scene i totally understand what the video means, and how there's Hayden and one of the dudes from Shortfall in it :)

  • Man, the Canadian indie scene was tight and solid back in the early nineties. I miss it.

  • Yeah dats tru. It died in round 1999, same year Thrush Hermit, dis relli good Indie Rock band from Halifax (wer popular wen dey existed, howevr not sure if dey r still popular). Canadian Punk Age came in 2000.

  • Memories come and go, but this one always stays in my mind forever. I wish i cud re-live the day the first time i saw this music video. Treble Charger's gone now, dey were probably the best Canadian band ever. Pity :(

  • Wow. I bought this CD many moons ago and haven't heard this song in ages. Thank you so much for posting this song. I'm remembering that this CD had an interactive computer "zine" on it. That was almost unheard of back of the day. Great band, wish they'd get back to this sound.

  • Love that video! Got any hookups on the morale video? =)

  • gawd.. this takes me back.. : )))))

i freakin' love theM <33 awwwwww

    haha

  • YYYYYYYYYOW!
