great! that's teehan's reel, i'm sure of it, i fell in love with this tune since i heard it on michael mcgoldrick's rendition of it on the flute. i love to play it on the piano too, it has such a wonderful haunting melody, its exactly like what you said! its one of those tunes which i could just play on and on and on
you're welcome, glad to help! you know, i always wanted to learn the harp, but its an expensive instrument, i'd imagine ^^ say, is there such a thing as a cheap harp ? :)
Very nice, Meg! And love your pooch wanting to get in on the act - so funny, and what a cutie! Curious, what breed is he or she? Maybe you can train your dog to be your accompanist!
Yes it is. I went for a Sony Cybershot in the end. I found the high resolution switch yesterday which is even better than this. It takes longer shots and is great in low light too.
I have some records by Alan Stivell. On LP and digitizeed to CD "Live A L'Olympia", "E Langonned", "Légende", "Renaissance de la Harpe Celtique" but only on a Tape and it's broken :(, and an LP sampler called Attention.
I love any song with the word "Reel" in it. This was a nice Reel! Enjoyed. t:)

Thank you, you've given me the name! I've just looked for other versions and sure enough you're right. I'll change the title!

Not that I know of. Even second hand they are pricey. Small harps can cost less, say 20 strings but around 34 strings is best.

Wonderful. It's been years since we've heard Alan.

He was one of my inspirations for wanting to play a harp. After I heard "Renaissance of the Celtic harp".

Such a nice tune.
Got the stars... :)
I think I know it played by Alan Stivell but don't remember what record it is...

If you know Alan Stivell you'll probably recognise the next one I'm going to record.

I'm looking forward to your next record.
