This is the epitome of nostalgia. I miss my childhood, the SNES is still my favorite gaming console. The last time I played this game it was with my two neighbours who I've known my whole life and used to play these games with, I've had a crush on one of them for as long as I can remember and neither of them could beat bramble blast but I could easily at the moment. Good memories.
TM-fucking-I, dude! just waaay TMI! I don't care if you ARE a girl..it's bad enough that Rule 34 is fucking up childhoods on shit like this...well, not to me really...but still, I have a REALLY fucked up imagination that creates images of shit i hear or read instantly...*shudders*
@doggknight2k7 True. Any nasty or shocking image ''like goatse'' always gets embedded in my head and it FUCKS up my memory and it's like everywhere I go I see a nasty image.
Sometimes.. when I'm all alone, I listen to these songs on my phone whilst lying naked after long hours of watching pornography. Yet I continue to masturbate.
If parents are getting divorced, its bad. And its the same with this: if you want to tell your classmates about this game era and these guys just say 'what are you talking about, you fool?' it's mad, they never lived a live with these games and will never...
I gt chills when I listen to this. It takes me back. Where life was as simple as the cat in the hat. I still have DKC 1 2 & 3. And every time I play it it feels like ima kid again having both my parents and having loyal friends. I guess we gotta grow up sometime and deal with this slut called life :-x
Its weird. I can never get tired of DKC music. It's like there is some sort of magic inside of David Wise that makes me stare at this video.........Magic............
There's so much awesome video game music, Skyrim has a great OST for example, but nothing has ever reached DKC level. These songs give me that special feeling that the world is beautiful, no matter how fucked up my day was. They make me fly on a nostalgia trip which is basically one of the most beautiful feelings you can get.
the people who worked for rareware had great talent. Rare really knew how to make a game memoriable and fun. each one of their games were unique in their own way. rare could come out with the best sequels. eg: dkc2 and banjo tooie. not to mention they made could make games from diffrent genres unique. goldeneye was probably the most inspired shooting game and diddy kong racing was just epic. and blast corps was great tooo.
If an evil galactic overlord were hovering in orbit above Earth with a death ray pointed at the planet and said, "I'm going to destroy this planet and everything on it unless you show me one reason the human race deserves to live," I'd play this song.
...And then he'd probably blow up the planet, but at least I'd get to hear this song again before I died.
cant believe that "David wise" songwriter for all Donkey Kong games wasn't given an award for this ...makes me sad probably one of the best game soundtracks ive heard for a while
Hey everybody! I have released my new album 'Progenitor' which has electronic music inspired by great game series such as Donkey Kong Country. You can check it out and download it for free on my youtube channel if you're interested!
My father told me to try to play a music instrument. I said fuck no. I was playing dkc2, this level. He told me, you can play this song on piano. I said fuck yeah.
What synthesizer was used to make this kind of music? I've put hours of research into finding a Donkey Kong Country 2 soundfont, but no luck. I already have an Ocarina of Time soundfont, Banjo Kazooie...really need this one for its unique lead sounds
this song is soooo sooo sooo soooooooo Amazing. Nintendo really did something back in the day taking something as simple as Donkey Kong and turned into a masterpiece. Kudos to you guys. Nintendo may not be the leader of today's gaming but it sure as hell is the leader of all time. Nintendo Thank you for opening up the world of gameing.
@Magiphart i Mean alot more people prefer PS3 or 360 over the WII. its not that they suck because i have a wii and i like it alot. just the PS3 and360 steal the show today. but PS3 and 360 cant match the classics that nintendo has released not today not tomorrow not ever.
You know... I was studing, and suddenly, i remebered this theme had not heard in 15 years...So i sttoped studying, i wrote "Donkey Kong" in youtube, and, i found it!!

i'm happy i still have my snes my games are: dkc 1,2,3, megaman soccer,7,x,x2,x3, demons crest, ranma, scv4, smario rpg, chrono trigger, zelda, illusion of gaia, smetroid, yoshis island, smw, kirbysstar, and lost my dracula x, great games....
This game is amazing. Why Myamoto didn't like the first one is BEYOND me. But, everything about this series is just....... Great. And it makes me think of the good days before RareWare turned into Rare, before there wasn't any "Kinect Sports" Only good, great games like DKC, Banjo Kazooie, Conker, DKR, Goldeneye, Killer Instinct, and much more. *sigh* I miss the good days.

@greggha True that my man, true that. I love DKC music when I'm high. I feel like I'm back at my N64 when I was 8-9, playing all of my favorite games.

Ok peeps, I don't know what the fuck ZYZZ is, but I do know this. This game, as well as the prequel, and the sequel, were all released on the SNES system under the compan RAREWARE. If you ever played the game in your fucking pathetic lives, you would see RAREWARE right when the game is loading to the title screen (you know, the screens that tell you who produced the game and the platform it was made for.) Last time I checked games still had these. Of course this new generation of gamers is...
I haven't turned my Wii on in months. Listening to this DKC2 playlist has inspired me to buy the game on Virtual Console. These 3 games had some of the best music ever composed in the history of the world.
Oh my god, I remember playing this game at 13, and the first time I heard this song, I had to pause the game and listen to it. (Of course they picked a cool sound for the pause lol, but that's besides the point) I literally had tears streaming down my cheeks, because the serenety of this track made me reflect back on my memories. I'll also have this song playing in my head when I'm laying in the grass watching the clouds move by on the wind. This has to be one of the greatest game tracks ever!
I remember sitting down and playing DKC with my dad when I was a kid before he died. The man was my hero. Whenever I want to remember him I just play this again and it takes me to happier times.
Oh Rare... why did you have to leave Nintendo and be forced making shovel-ware for Microsoft...
@BoisterousBizarnes Retro studios made Donkey Kong Country Returns man, I'm missing all the Rare classics... My Classic DK, Diddy Kong Racing, Jet Force Gemini, Conkers bad Furday and Banjo FUCKING Kazooie! :D
Rare better revive some of these IPs on the 360 asap... I'll go insane otherwise!
I agree with everyone of you guys about this song and all there other songs i just wish i can go back to my childhood but all i have now is this game and SNES
You know, this song really makes me miss my childhood. Oh, how I long for those days, at least just for one week, having the thrill of playing such an amazing game with beautiful music masterpieces.
I don't hae words to descrive the......feeling,emotion i dont know i remember my old house,my father,my mother, now i have a wife and my parents, are so far from me now,but this song make me feel them close to me great song.
This song is by FAR one of the biggest masterpieces in the history of gaming. I mean, every time I listen to this, it brings me near tears... partially because it invokes a mixture of happiness, sadness, and various other emotions within me, and partially because it's just incredibly fucking awesome.
@mike369unborn The kids these days are getting robbed. They really did and are missing out on a lot. Stuff like this.. just... can't be replaced, sadly it can still be forgotten. Wish games went back to this amazing kind of music. Games these days.. phew. I don't know about anyone else but, the Bands and cinematic songs they use as backdrops now.. just don't compare to the raw intentions of these older game tracks. It gave you a high just playing these games and hearing the epicness around you.
@mike369unborn: I feel that they will never feel quite as good as the people who grew up with these wonderful games. I will admit, I am only 13. However, games like these are just almost perfect. Call of Duty and Halo can both just drop to their knees and bow to the masterpiece that is the 90's. Nintendo will always, ALWAYS kick Microsoft and Sony's highly glorified asses. However Sega rules over them all.
I feel so completely nostalgic and somewhat upset when I hear this. These were simpler times, I remember playing DKC2 so fondly...I wish those days would return, as a kid, amazed by this new experience.
This song, I will never forget. I haven't heard it since I was a kid, and as soon as I stumbled upon it and began to play, I immediately began to tear up.
Video game designers need to read this!!! Ask anyone who listens to DKC songs on Youtube, we all love this game so much that we still listen to the music 10 years later, In 10 years we aren't going to say "hey, remember COD, yeah it had 2 as many visual effects as Super Smash Brothers Mele" no, we will only care about the music in 10 years, face it, it lasts in our hearts and carries out childhood along with us and reminds us of who we are, so basically, SPEND MORE TIME ON THE MUSIC!
There was never a level made you want to throw morbidly obese epileptic llamas in a straight-jacket trying to give itself diarrhea out of a burning building from the difficultly and change you mind about it from listening to the music, until Bramble levels came along. Yet, the next time you died, you would want to throw more than overgrown crazed llamas again, and repeat the cycle all over again.
ahh this song reminds me of the flying on the parrot....I never made it through the map.. I'm not gonna dislike the song because of that, this theme is just pure epicness.
1994/1995 where did you go to? I still miss you!

I remember sitting down and playing DKC with my dad when I was a kid before he died. The man was my hero. Whenever I want to remember him I just play this again and it takes me to happier times.
Oh Rare... why did you have to leave Nintendo and be forced making shovel-ware for Microsoft...
0djin 10 months ago
@0djin sorry to about your dad. but atleast your dad hanged out with you unlike mine

It's ok.
They made Donkey Kong Country Returns.
BoisterousBizarnes 8 months ago
@BoisterousBizarnes Retro studios made Donkey Kong Country Returns man, I'm missing all the Rare classics... My Classic DK, Diddy Kong Racing, Jet Force Gemini, Conkers bad Furday and Banjo FUCKING Kazooie! :D
Rare better revive some of these IPs on the 360 asap... I'll go insane otherwise!
0djin 8 months ago
@0djin
My mistake; still, someone at least made a game similar to the classic series. A DKCR2 similar to DKC2 would be great to have as well.

You know, this song really makes me miss my childhood. Oh, how I long for those days, at least just for one week, having the thrill of playing such an amazing game with beautiful music masterpieces.
Sigh.

magmoor 11 months ago

TwistaSyke 1 year ago
@mike369unborn: I feel that they will never feel quite as good as the people who grew up with these wonderful games. I will admit, I am only 13. However, games like these are just almost perfect. Call of Duty and Halo can both just drop to their knees and bow to the masterpiece that is the 90's. Nintendo will always, ALWAYS kick Microsoft and Sony's highly glorified asses. However Sega rules over them all.
(my opinion)

Magic memories.

This is the theme to the bramble levels right? ...Funny how the worst levels in that game had the best music >_>
I absolutely HATED those levels.

Isnt it Bramble Blast?
XKnightWarxa 1 year ago
@XKnightWarxa It's the song's original name... Bramble Blast is the name of the first level the song is heard.

ahh this song reminds me of the flying on the parrot....I never made it through the map.. I'm not gonna dislike the song because of that, this theme is just pure epicness.
