@sideways85 This car weights about as much as the new Lotus (1300kg) but has double the power (600hp).

Wonder it's going to sell. It's the fastest car in this market segment but both Ferrari and Lamborghini have much more history as a road car maker. (And the new Ferrari looks a lot better)

But you are right: The F1 sold because it was unique. This MP4-12C isn't very special.

I think I would prefer the Ferrari.

Isn't special? Without trying I can name something the Ferrari hasn't that the MP4 does, several times. The Ferrari is nice but itself "isn't very special." Consider it like anything else in it's class.

It looks functional just like the last F1. In fact it doesn't look that different to the F1 which goes to show that the F1 was bang on for a road car's shape and structure. I;d rather it looked like this than a Bugatti Veyron. Ew! It'll drive so much better than anything in its price range guaranteed. Top Gear track will get pummelled!!!

The MP4 might be a superb performer, but it just isn't very attractive for a super car. It looks plain and mundane. People that buy expensive toys want them to look the part as well. I honestly believe this car will flop on sales.
