I didn't like this game as much as the previous ones, especially dual strike, but the themes and new graphics made it worthwhile. I really hope another Advance Wars is created. I love this game series :)

Advance Wars has always been that awesome series that's been only known by the ones who play it. Most of the other gamers will never know the awesomeness this is Advance Wars. I hope I see a new one for the 3DS--we're already getting Fire Emblem and Paper Mario (two other awesome series) from Intelligent Systems, so let's hope for a new Advance Wars.

@Chokoboh Have to say, I'd rank AWDS, DoC , 2 then 1. DS just had so much variety on it, with more of whatever it is which really distinguishes AW. DoC has a much darker theme, slightly more realistic settings/units, it has matured with it's audience, considering we're the only ones to know about it at all. =P

Hmmm... just something about Will... like... people call him generic sometimes or whatever, but... I don't think there's really any other well-known characters with SUCH a focus on determination as him... like, his character is just meant to play extremely hard on NEVER giving up, no matter WHAT the odds... he just has this feeling of an unbreakable drive... and THAT is pretty original in my opinion, even if it is simple... his music is a GREAT reflection on that mentality as well...

In the game it clearly states that Will holds the rank of Officer Cadet - a special rank given only to officers in training. Had he completed his training, he would have been commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant - one rank below Lin - But for obvious reasons this never happened, so he remained an Officer Cadet.

Then when the music builds they look at him and the look of defieance is emblazzed in his eyes. He holds up the torn flags of Lazuaria and Rubinelle in his hand and shouts out, "WHERE THERE IS LIFE, THERE IS HOPE!!!" The soldiers, inspired by his act of courage and strength, rally together and charge back into the fray with Will close behind. Epicness.

I loved all the AW games i've played. I think this one was the best. Because of this game, it made it a lot easier to get into Warmachine. which is like taking Advance War 2 and add combo elements from Magic The Gathering.

God I LOVED this game death. One of my favorite tactical RPGs. I always chose Will because of this music...best battle song in the game. I ended up trading this game into Gamestop, though, because I accidentally saved over my file; I was at that IMPOSSIBLE battle with Tabitha...I swear I tried to beat that fight 100 times and failed miserably. =/

This is such an inspiring piece.

I didn't think so at first, for several months, but now I realise the pure beauty of it. Life is returning to a decayed carcass with every passing note as the destroyed is restored. It compliments Will's character perfectly, and drives home the spirit of hope.

Though I prefer the European name for the song, "Hope Never Dies". But the American name also has a lot of meaning.
